Surveys - Do you like or not?

We all recognize how useful surveys can be, if people respond. Yet having people actually respond to them is another thing. I've seen some provide amazing feedback and others hardly anything.

Do you personally ever respond to them if they come from a newsletter you have subscribed too?

Just curious

    Hey Jon,

I like the straight forward surveys that are either informative or fun. Some of them lately though are just a come on to either get your credit card number or falsely promise something for "free". Talk about the old bait and switch! I am very wary now of what I actually click on.

    cheers

I like very short surveys that make sense.

Honest opinion? I typically only respond to surveys if I've either had a very bad experience, or if there's something in it for me. Otherwise, I usually delete. I just don't have the extra time.

I've answered surveys for people who have provided me with valuable information in the past.

Others - I just delete them.

yeah I think we are all the same. If I have a need and I feel that you have been there and either done it or know how to do it. I am all for providing some feedback as hey it might be useful. But if there has been no value before i.e products they gave were crap or website was crap... then I dont respond. I dont mind giving people feedback, as it may be of use to them, it really depends what mood im in and what cereal I ate that day

I have personally responded to a lot of surveys. Especially if I belong to a list where the list owner provides great content. The trust they have built up goes to show me they are only trying to find out how to cater to me more...I like that!

Now those annoying pop-up surveys (you know the ones; where they ambush you as soon as you get to a site) I can't stand!

Yes, people don't respond unless there is something for them or they really really love the service or products. So, it's wise to offer them some gifts to fill up the survey and I'm sure it will work.

I like how you're conducting a survey on whether people like surveys.
