Weight Loss Niche

Im thinking of getting into the weight loss niche and creating my own product. But my product will be a recipe book with low calorie recipes instead of a weight loss product.


Any ideas or advice? do you think this would be a good angle to get into the weight loss niche?

    Hi, this technique is pretty doable. Though the weightloss niche is competitive you should be able to find a loophole using this technique. Look for keywords with low competition and decent search volume. You can also create a website and sell you ebook with clickbank. Just a thought!

    Here's my humble recommendation... I am in the weight loss niche too, but in spanish. There is always room for more products in this niche, this crowd is always hungry literally! LOL!

    I would recommend you to hang out in forums related to weight loss and find out what is the hottest trend among this crowd. Nowadays, low carb diets are hotter than low calorie ones. You might want to create your ebook around low carbs instead (just a thought).

    Or you can just convince your customers of why a low calorie diet would be better than a low carb diet...

    Anyway, here are some tips I can give you related to the development of your ebook and marketing strategy to kick-start your project.

    1- Get your recipe book and sales page done before you do anything. Create a great quality ebook, dont sell crap. This crowd is highly sensitive and will not hesitate to ask for a refund if your product is crap. If you can't make a great sales page (that actually sells!), get some pro copywriter and graphic designer to do it for you.

    2- Get together a *good quality* report of 15-25 pages long and create a squeeze page offering the report for free in exchange of email addresses (aka list building). The report *must* be of good quality! First impressions count in this business. And since your free report will be that first impression, you need to create quality. This will bring awesome results in the long run (hint: when you launch your ebook)

    3- Before you start driving traffic to your squeeze page, have at least 20-25 pre-written follow-up messages with good information related to weight loss. And since you are going to sell a low-calorie recipes ebook, I would recommend you to have messages about how a low-calorie diet helps burn fat and lose weight fast.

    4- Now, it's time to promote your squeeze page. Do some keyword research, forum marketing (no spamming), get articles done targeting the keywords you found useful during kw research, get some videos done with high quality info, etc.

    5- If you did your job well... You should have built a great responsive list and they should respect and trust you. It's time to go ahead and get to the sweet stuff!

    6- It's time for you to create 5-7 pre-launch messages. Not only for you! Make 5-7 pre-launch messages having YOUR OWN list in mind, and another 5-7 having your possible JV's in mind. Also, get some banners and affiliate material done for your JV's and affiliates.

    7- When you are done with the pre-launch messages (both for you and JV's), it's time to look for your JV's. Go to forums (like this one), blogs, etc. and get some people interested in promoting your product. Tell them about all the material you've prepared to make it all easier for them to promote your product and be ready to make some big cash at launch time.

    8- Now, after you've done all this, it's time to set up a date to launch your product. Don't trip with the date! Get it all done and get everything ready for your big launch.

    9- Launch your product and make big cash!

    It's a lot of work, but believe me it pays off BIG time! I hope that helps and gives you an idea of what you need to get done to be ready to launch your product
