Hello Warriors,

I am a Computer Engineering Student (Last year now) and I have been working in the field of programming/design/animation since around 5 years.

I am interested in making a new project just for fun and for learning purposes, and most importantly for the future to have a better luck in finding good jobs after I graduate!

My areas of expertise are in:
- Web & Graphic Design
- Software & Web programming
- Mobile applications
- All kind of 2D and 3D animation
- Decent level of SEO/SEM

Now... Can you please give me some ideas about projects so I pick one of them and work on it in the next few months. I do not want to make a commercial project, it will be free, but I want something that has a membership and that generates a huge traffic because of its nice functionality.

Well, I am not going ( and not able ) to do something like Facebook! But I have a very good experience and can do mostly anything, so feel free to post any idea you have in mind that you think it's possible to be implemented.

So Warriors, are you going to help me find the right idea to implement?

Thanks much,
Wassim

I deal with a lot of beginners. I can tell you that they would like to see a site which helps them with images; most of them do now have Adobe yet.

There are some sites out there now for this, but many are very klunky.

The beginners need an online optimizer for images and also a way to make banners easily. If you marketed it correctly, and the site worked well, I think it would be a hit. It would also lead in perfectly to a membership site.

Create a software to fill a website with 10,000 keyword-targeted articles, which rotates very often.

Don't make the mistake of starting with an idea or a concept,
invest some time in researching your target market to discover
a group of people with a problem that you can solve.

It doesn't matter if your product will be free, what matters is
that there will be a demand for it.

A product without demand is a waste of your time and energy.

John, thanks for your reply. I think you get me wrong. I am not saying that people will come to my site and use it because it is free... not at all!

What I'm trying to say is, I am preparing a new project just for challenging myself... I want to see my skills and how to go on, but since I gonna put alot of efforts on the project, it will be nice to pick the right idea to implement, but even if the demand didn't go well on my website after I finish it, that's totally fine - what matters is that I did something nice and improve my skills. Again, I am doing this mainly for learning purposes.

      Thanks,

My point was that you won't get huge traffic because of
    functionality.

Traffic will be determined by demand for a solution to a
    specific problem.

Ahh You're right John - I think it's my english again hehe... I wanted to say that... I hope the site that I make will be helpful to people so it might generate huge traffic... but it's not much imporant. The main idea is for learning purposes then. Anyway you got the general idea John, and thanks for your tip
