hello,my name is Anthony and im from Northern Ireland. For the last 3 months ive been researching and testing methods on making money online.I have tried ebay and i have bought loads of ebooks and things like dave quindon hot itemfinder etc and i looked at dropshipping also which none have really been successful.ive came across affiliate marketing and i went and bought into Maverick money makers club. Now i soon realized it was a waste of money so i upgraded to vip and downloaded all the videos and then canceled and got my money back. The reason im looking to make money online is because my job atm is not very secure and if i loose my job it won't be easy to find another one where i live and i also have a baby on the way and thats the reason ive been researching.im not looking to make millions in 2 months.im just looking someone to step me in the right direction and stop with all the empty promises.i would happily work from home and get the same money i work for now.I just need help with affiliate merketing and what i need to do.i have tried a few tactics from MMM which are...classified ads, articles and i sent a solo ad for a ezine which hasnt came out yet.Nothing yet,im just hoping that the ezine brings me in something.

Someone please help

im sick of all the empty promises.

Thanks Anthony

I don't think empty promises are your problem. Here's your problem:

For the last 3 months ive been researching and testing methods on making money online.I have tried ebay and i have bought loads of ebooks and things like dave quindon hot itemfinder etc and i looked at dropshipping also which none have really been successful.
In 3 months (just 3 months) you have been testing different methods? Hopping from one thing to another? That is a recipe for failure. It's not other people's empty promises. It's your own.

i upgraded to vip and downloaded all the videos and then canceled and got my money back.
And that is ethical how? Myself, I do not want to work with you. I suggest cleaning up your act, getting focused, and geting serious about your business.

All information can be "got for free" if you want to spend the hours or weeks gathering it all up. If you even know where to look or can tell which is good or which is crap.

The fact of the matter is you downloaded all the videos then refunded. That's just plain wrong.

It's not an opinion, here are the facts:

        1. You signed up for a program but realized it was a "mistake" -Now, that's understandable if the program wasn't right for you or didn't deliver, etc.

        2. But clearly the above wasn't the case as you downloaded all the videos and then requested a refund - clearly the information was useful in your opinion or you wouldn't have downloaded it! Which means you stole from the vendor!

        3. Which isn't a gray area.

Hopefully, if you every stop hopping around from idea to idea, you'll actually put out or promote something and then get ripped off.

And it's my time so I'll waste it if I want to!

        Thanks for the entertainment.

I'm not going to get into a flame war with you.

However, you come on a forum to ask for help and lay your business out for everyone to see and you're going to get opinions.

You don't get to tell me to keep my opinion to myself - the admins do!

Theft isn't a mistake and there are a lot of people on this forum (myself included) who deal with unethical clients such as yourself every day. It costs us time and money.

If you really think you made a mistake, then admit it, pay the vendor or remove it from your hard drive.

The one consolation is that your attitude, combined with your ethics (or lack thereof), will probably keep you in your current situation.

            Ciao!

your problem is that you want something for nothing.you think its ok to take money from other people.if the site you were using was so bad, then why upgrade to get more expensive stuff that doesn't work anyway?if you are quick to justify stealing, then money isnt ever going to come your way. also, this is a forum.anything you post is open for discussion.if you didnt want comments about it,then you shouldn't have posted the part about you stealing.serial refunders are a major problem in our business, and my guess is that many of them have their own ways of justifying it,too.that doesn't make it right.finally, you mention that you are sick of all the empty promises, when you yourself are doing the exact same thing.you purposely entered into a form of a promise when you paid for the upgrade to get all that fancy stuff.but your intention was to get a refund as soon as that last download was complete.that my friend is the very definition of an empty promise.

sometimes help comes in the form of criticism.if you cant handle a bit of criticism about comments you made about how you ripped somebody off, then you may not be cut out for this business.

sometimes a bit of tough love is what people need to make their breakthrough.thats my intention.nothing more.nothing less.

Yes, I have to agree here Anthony.

Since you got a refund from Maverick, the least you can do is to remove those videos from your hard drive and NOT USE THEM. It is not ethical to do so. But that is in the past and I would not dwell on it. Just make amends as best you can. We all make mistakes.

Going forward, I believe you should be prepared to do the following:

    1. Prepare to spend an extra 2 - 3 hours a day, learning Internet Marketing.

    2. Find a mentor who has a good work ethic and strong moral ethics too.

    3. Set a limit on what you are prepared to spend each month on your education
so you don't run up debts, and begin to learn ASAP.

Here are a few quotes from the late Jim Rohn that will help you, if you really let them:

"Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment". Set your goals and
do the work, no matter how hard it gets.

"Don't wish it were easier, wish you were better." Don't be afraid to learn new stuff.

    Finally, this is one of my favourite: "Formal education will make you a living;
self-education will make you a fortune."

Invest in yourself first. Every book you buy will have something worth remembering,
even if it is just on sentence.

    My best,
    Anthony

Find a good Clickbank product to promote. Stay away from the following niches:

    Affiliate Marketing
    Make Money Blogging
    Make Money Online
    Weight Loss
How To Get Your Ex Back

Those are all super saturated niches. Find something that helpes people solve a problem. research the product. Get in touch with the vendor and tell them you are thinking of promoting their product. Ask them what kind of sales they have made and how many return have been made (Clickbank will also give you these stats).

    1. Start a free blog around your niche. Write a review of the product and 4 articles about why the product helps, how it helped you, benefits of it, etc. You rblog should have 5 articles.

    2. Next, write a 2 Hubs at HubPages or 2 Lenses at Squidoo. Review the product and provide some content about the niche at the same time. Make a different point in each article. Include 1 or your affiliate links and add your blog's RSS Feed to the article.

    3. Use the Google Adwords Keyword Tool and punch in your niche. Keywords and search terms that people have used to find that niche will come up. Write down 30 of those terms that have 900-8000 searches per day.

    4. Write an article for each keyword search term. Make sure you include the keywords in the title. Submit all 30 articles to Ezine Articles. In your resource box, include 1 link to your Hub, and 1 link to your product review page on your blog. Make sure there is an affiliate link at the bottom of your review. Only put ONE. any more and you risk your blog being flagged as spam by Blogger. Pick 2 of the articles and add a link to one of the Hubs. In the ther 2 articles, add a link to the other Hub at the bottom. Important: Do not add too many links to the same website in yoour blog, or it will be considered spam and removed. That's why you are spreading out the Hub links and only adding 1 affiliat link at the bottom of the review.

    5. After your articles are accepted at Ezine, re-word them and submit them all to GoArticles and IdeaMarketers.

    6. Rinse and repeat with the same product or a new one. Start a different blog for each niche. Don't put too many affiliate links in your Hubs. You may want to stop after you write 10 or 15 Hubs and switch to Lenses for your landing pages. You can also use World Village.

    7. Submit some of the articles (no more than 20%) to social media sites like Digg, Yahoo Buzz, Reddit, Stumble Upon, and Twitter.

If you haven't made at least 2 sales after 30 days, I'll eat my computer!!!
Thankyou.il will have to start practicing articles.il will imply what you've told me and keep you up to date with everything.thanks Anthony

Glad to hear it, that's a move in the right direction.

I wasn't saying you were a serial refunder, just a refunder.

Sure, there are people that do things that are much worse, but saying that shows that you are still heavy on justifying your actions. If you want to be successful, then that's a habit you need to minimize.

Nobody needs to get over themselves, we're just trying to help in our own way.

Take a step back. Take a deep breath. Clear your head. Now, try to see things from our point of view.

With all due respect, you need to let go of the immature thinking. Not because I don't like it (to each their own), but because the right mindset will take you 1,000 times further than some "secret" tidbit you can find in any e-book or website.

        All the best,
        Michael

Hmmmm I see we have tamed the Irishman - yes the 30 day challenge is a perfect place to start as a lot is covered. They say the basics is the foundations we need to succeed. I think most of us forget the basic and then wonder why things are going wrong

Hey wait - I haven't had my turn yet. You say you now paid but claim people are doing worse things than what you did which means you not really sorry about what you did.

And that is ethical how? Myself, I do not want to work with you. I suggest cleaning up your act, getting focused, and geting serious about your business.
I agree with Kevin above. I am busy doing his video course with him have looked at all the videos and is going to get a refund. Hey that is bad news as it is not up-to him to make me do what he teaches but ME

Ok I will wait until the course is finish before I ask for a refund Kevin
but I see Kevin is clever. I think he offers a 30 day money back but the course have gone past 30 days so I am out of luck on this one

          Hi,
First of all, take a deep breath.
Making money with internet marketing requieres (besides learning, work, and time) to take action and stay focus.
It is very easy to get overwhelmed with all the information, the products, and the hype you find in that IM world.

What I would do is find a system to apply, study it, and take action. I would invest some money in a good trainning program (just in one) and follow the steps they teach you. Once you have something already set and running, keep learning and improve it.

There are some great products out there. At least they are for me.

I'm going to put this in a short and simple manner. Focus on one product/strategy at a time. It's so easy to jump from one product/strategy to the next without even realising it...especially in IM! All you need is action, persistence, and dedication. Don't quit something if it just doesn't work the first time around.

p.s. I know you've probably learnt from other warriors' posts but may I just remind you....Do unto others as you would have others do unto you

All the best to your success Anthony

i have not yet mastered this internet marketing thing and i have been trying to learn it for a few years now... but i didn't invest in anything yet coz i already found lots of free stuffs online and i thought if i couldn't put into action the ideas that gurus are providing for free then i am sure i wouldn't be able to do anything with a paid product as well....

i dont know the best thing to do to get started but what i'm doing now is to start from where i am... meaning where my current skills are .... i don't know how to write seo articles, backlinking, social bookmarking or any other ways to get free traffic to my blog.... but i know how to surf lolzz so now im starting with paid to click sites and traffic exchanges, i want to earn there while learning all these stuffs about various ways to make money online...

    anto1click,

I'm not trying to beat a dead horse here, but I do want to explain one thing. I understand you have kind of apologized and made good on your refunding and that is a good step.

My two cents though is that buying a product and using it, and then asking for a refund does more than hurt the product vendor. He's not likely to go to the poor house because you got a refund. However, suppose someone clicks on an affiliate link to go to a sales page. They end up buying and the affiliate is credited with X number of commission dollars.

That affiliate, who is likely struggling much more than the product vendor, has bills to pay and probably a family to feed as well. They think they got a commission and bam--the next day it's gone.

Worse than that, they may give up on promoting the vendor's product if that happens to many times. Furthermore, anyone logged in to someplace like Clickbank can look at the Marketplace stats and infer what kind of refund rate a product is drawing. If it looks like that rate is high many affiliates will veer away from it. A lot of people get hurt from serial refunders. Yours was a one-time thing I understand, nonetheless, refunds hurt affiliates and vendors in ways beyond the actual dollar loss.

I once had a day where a person bought three of my CB products and filed for refunds on all three within ten minutes of each purchase. It's not the money it's that someone has my stuff that I worked hard on and they act like they deserve it without paying for it. Blood, sweat, and tears go into developing a product.

Okay, the lecture is over. Everyone, myself included, makes mistakes. Let's go on from here with no hard feelings. Life's too short. For one thing, save up a few bucks and join the War Room. That's my tid-bit of advice.
