Has anyone else had trouble with Blogger?

I recently created a couple of Blogger blogs and before I had a chance to put up any content, they were flagged as spam blogs. Keep in mind that I haven't even put up any content. The same thing happened to my girlfriend about two weeks ago and Google didn't email her back yet. Is this a new standard for Google?

Who hasn't it happened to? That is very common with blogger.com.

I highly suggest going with a paid hosting solution if you're serious about getting into blogging. There's just no sense of "security" with free blogging services as you don't really own YOUR OWN website...

Take Alan from moneymakerinfo.blogspot.com for example, and the horror he went through... imagine how many people go through that but DON'T end up getting their blogs back?

I think Hostgator is probably the cheapest hosting+domain solution you can find that's generally considered very reliable. I suggest saving up for that if you're serious about blogging.

Oh, and don't forget to build your list!

Thanks for the info. I have a few self hosted Wordpress sites but I wanted to create some free blogs. I use Hostmonster for hosting and my domains.

On the other hand, my blogger blog has been rolling along with no problems for 2 years now! Guess it just depends upon which Google watcher gets their panties in a wad.

      As has been stated:

Use your own hosting, then you are in control.

      As for this:

The same thing happened to my girlfriend about two weeks ago and Google didn't email her back yet.
Are you sure that you want Google to email her back to you - or would you prefer to find another girlfriend

Sorry, I'm just in one of my silly moods.

I hope that things work out,

      Jeff.

No problems. I have been pressuring my girlfriend to create a blog because she is a very good writer. Like I said before I do have self hosted blogs but don't want to have a bunch of domains to pay for each year.

Pete, did you use keywords in your Blogger URL. I was trying to create a blog about financial planning and used the keywords with dashes in between.

you should really think about hosting your own blog, all your work could just be wiped out in an instant using blogger! Although saying that I have many blogs with blogger and never got a spam alert on any of them.

I have bought Carty's Auto Blogging Software and the training by Geoff Shaw I believe and I am trying to replicate everything but I just can't get a Blogger blog started. It is rather frustrating.

I agree with everyone here. If you are serious about making money online, install wordpress on your own domain! I've had 2 friends just recently lose their blogger blogs after long hours of hard work that they put into them.

        Don't be another statistic!

Geoff has mentioned getting Yahoo! accounts so you can get Gmail accounts. I don't know if that's the problem?

I have Carty's software also. I haven't created many Blogger blogs though. I really must pull my finger out and learn WP for myself.

I used a Yahoo account for the investing blog I was trying to create. I didn't try adding any content right away, it was a few hours later.

If you just want to regard Blogger as a SEO strategy, it is obvious that Google will flag all your blog as spam.
In fact, you can try other free blog services, such as WordPress, Blogsome, etc. All of them are free and friendly.

I thought it was just me. I started a blog about the world cup. No content just a title. They gave me the boot for spam. May be someone told them about my real ideas? Jules!

It's crazy how they just flag a blog right from the get go. I might try it a couple more times but I am seriously considering giving up on Blogger.

You know a good way to prevent yourself from losing your work could be to back em up totally

i.e back up the template html in notepad via copy and paste
then for each post and page in blogger just copy and paste the html version of it and then the text version of it that way if anything does go wrong you're literally a copy and paste away from getting back on your feet.

Oh yea I'd defo reommend doing it in notepad not word docs I dont know the techy word for it but if you copy and paste from word into blogger it messes up your content but notepad doesn't or well it hasnt .

    But yea thats all folks
