I have been going through all the How to courses,Ebooks, and 1000's of articles on my hard drive and have decided to rewrite some of the articles and create an Ebook.
What I am looking for is somehow to make a cover that will accompany the finished item.
Anyone have any ideas what to use to create this.
All advice will be very much appreciated
Thanks

    hi,

You need something to sell if you want to make money online. writing an ebook is still one of the best ways to do it.
Most sites are disappointed by the nickels and dimes that come in from advertising. If your site gets massive amounts of traffic, it can work, but if not, you'll want to find a much more profitable source of revenue.
But most of us find that it's not all that easy to translate high-quality content from your blog into a high-quality ebook.
Four or five years ago, you could have slammed together an ebook over the weekend and created a decent income with it. But in the current environment, buyers are more careful with their money, and you've got an awful lot of competition.
The good news is, most of your competitors still think it's 2003, and most of their products are astoundingly lame. And there are still lots of buyers who need to solve their most pressing problems.
So there are still plenty of opportunities to monetize with an ebook. But it has to be terrific.
if this is not enough info then you can use black swann as your cover name

    thanks

Nice cut/paste from copyblogger.com but attribution would have been better. Out of original thoughts?

    Hi

I have this product quick 3d cover very easy to use maybe takes a couple of hours to get to grips with but nice results. Non affiliate link.

I also can recommend gfx writer this is my reseller link. I haven't used it yet to create an ebook cover but based on how easy headers are See video on sales page it should be pretty easy.

I will make a note to do one actually and shoot a video when I get a mo!

I spent a lot of time on this very subject lately and also found others talked a lot about doing great covers with action scripts and Photoshop.

To be honest that was all a bit outr of my reach as I don't have Photoshop.

Good luck hope you find what you need

Boxshot 3d is an excellent tool for 3d covers... unfortunately that's the easy bit, choosing a subject and writing content will take more time ....

If I have so many high-quality content, I also choose to rewrite these articles and create an Ebook.
Spealing of creating Ebooks, I think you can rewrite your articles with Office Word, then, convert these .doc files into .pdf documents with some free Word to PDF converters.
Once you have finished your Ebook, then you can choose to provide the downloading page without any fees...

I personally use Cover Action Pro, among a few other select design sets. I'm actually in the process of trying to better my skills. Even if you already have found a solution, I'd be interested to know about your project.

    Why?

Because I have found that I work better when I actually have an idea to work toward. My results while practicing haven't been as good for "mock" projects, as they have been for real ideas.

    Feel free to PM me.

    Regards,

    Mike

Just noticed you can't PM yet. In that case, you can leave a public comment on my profile page if you would like, or use one of the ways to contact me, shown on my profile to the left.

I don't think the OP said anything about him not making any money himself. I think he was talking about creating a product. Wow, you should really start reading the posts before posting yourself.

You can really get some good prices. Under $50 is a good price for an ebook cover.
