Videos on my website? youtube or my own embedded one?

So do I embed my own copy of my video on my site?
or
Do I put the exact same video on my site that is hosted on youtube?

If hosted on youtube, it's really easy to embed in my site page, and every view of that video on my page still counts as a view on my youtube video.

But are the any seo benefits to having my own embeded and hosted video on my site / server. The train of thought here is that I could then insert all youtube videos related to my niche on my site, and then I would not have to do any more videos myself, as I can just embed them in my site pages.

See my point there?

It is a wiser choice to put the exact same video on your site that is hosted on YouTube.
If you choose to embed your own copy of the video on your site, it may need more bandwidth, which is really a waste of money finally.

My studio's main business (Major League Videos -- Premium High Definition Video) is to produce discount high-end HD video for clients' websites and internet marketing purposes, so we hear all the positives and negatives of the various options.

YouTube is great because it's easy to embed and everyone has no trouble playing it (very important). The complaint we hear about YouTube is that it gives your visitors an easy way to leave your site -- they just have to click on the YouTube icon and they leave your site and go there.

If you decide to go with embedded YouTube, when you're embedding it be sure to uncheck "Show Related Videos", so when your viewer finishes playing your video he's not given suggestions of other videos to view that definitely will take them away from your site -- they'll only have the option of viewing your video again.

For starters, hosting on YouTube for videos you put on your site is recommended. However, if your budget can affords having your own video embed would make your site more a pro. But it has corresponding costs if you've got a lot of traffic and may consume up your bandwidth.

However, Amazon S3 would be a big help for hosting your own videos. Cheaper and faster streaming..
