Hi Diane,

Yep, I've been getting the Temporary Error (502) for over an hour now. It doesn't
happen often and they usually fix it within 2-3 hours.

John

It's nice to know that I'm not the only one. I remember it happening for an hour or so a few months ago but it definitely isn't common.

Down for me for a while...pretty irritating

Rare for me to have any errors. It loaded up then wouldn't let me send emails.

  Oh well,

Mine was down for a little while but it's back now. That definitely doesn't happen often. I've been using Gmail since it was first started back in 2004 and I only remember something like this happening a few times.

  Thanks

  According to The Toronto Star:

TheStar.com | Business | Google Gmail users having troubles

"Google Inc said Monday that many users of its Gmail service are having trouble accessing their online e-mail accounts due to a temporary outage in a contacts system used by Gmail.

The problems began at about 5 p.m., and a company spokesman said Google is starting to implement a fix for the problem right now.

"We are starting to roll out a fix now and hope to have the problem resolved as quickly as possible," said a Google spokesman.

Google said an outage in the contacts system used by Gmail is preventing the e-mail system from loading properly. The company also said that the new incoming messages are safe even if a user can not access their account."

  Thanks

I'm also getting the 502 server error and it's holding me up!

Argh.

I am glad that it is not common.
