Affiliates what do you prefer?

What do you as an affiliate prefer to do when it comes to promoting something?

Do you prefer sending prospects to a squeeze page, a sales page?
I myself prefer sending traffic to a sales page but i would like to get other people's views.

    For me, it really depends on the product I am promoting....

    If it's a hot product that I really have no desire to build on, I will send them right to a sales page...

    If I am promoting an affiliate product and I would like to use that niche in the future I will send them to a squeeze page first so I can get them on my list before sending them to the sales page of whatever it I am promoting...

    I think you are going to get a different answer from different people. It really depends on what you are selling, how people respond in your market, and if you have conversion stats on the various linking options.
