Noob Looking For Direction

Hello Warriors,

I am looking to you fine folks for beginning advice on IM in general. I have done some really early IM back in 9 years ago. Have not touched it since then.

What got me started looking into IM is actually a program that I am not going to join called CarbonCopy Pro. I think it is a good program but based on some information that I have received here as well as figuring that I can learn the same type of thing here without the $149/mo charge, I am willing to go, with your help, on my own first.

I have been looking through some of the great WSO's here on the Forum and got me thinking. Should I just hop on one of these and run with it? Or should I get some IM basic education first?

Based on some decent reeding on the Warrior Forums, it seems that a lot of IM'ers go after the "latest and greatest" thing/technique/strategy and causes them to loose focus. The same can be said about Investing in securities where I was always taught to set your rules and STICK to them.

So here are my questions:

Where is a good place to go for beginner information?
I have seen some WSO's, is this a good way for me to go?
What is your opinion on the Private Forums here? Worth jumping into?

Thanks in advance for any advice provided.

    Hi Sean,

There are so many products and services that it's really overwhelming at first. I can understand why newbies are so confused as to the best way to begin in IM.

My suggestion is to join the War Room right here on this forum before getting anything else. It's extremely good value for money and you'll learn tons of things in there that you would have to pay a lot more if you get them individually elsewhere.

    Regards,
    Alex

You are in the right place for good beginner info, although I recommend you take the time to get to know who knows what they're talking about and who is just regurgitating outdated or outright false information.

Yes, the War Room is worth the $37. As with anything, like you mentioned, you need to pick one solid, respectable technique and stick with it until you make it work. Jumping from one thing to another doesn't get you anywhere.

As for WSO's, some of them are getting weeded out, but you still need to be careful. Make sure you do your research before jumping on a bandwagon that may be on a dead-end road.

It sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders. We'll be glad to help you out as you go.

I think I have found a couple that I like and it occured to me to wait a while for a bunch of people to reply positively to get a feel of the package. If there is a good amount of positive feed back with a high amount of replied ..... I figure this could be a winning package. Would you agree?

That's what I usually do. And I pay attention to who's giving the feedback. It may not be easy to know at first whose opinion is worth something, but eventually it becomes obvious.

I am against courses. Some WSO's are alright but the best option is just read forums. Search for other ones from Warrior Forum. But here is good

There are a lot of good instruction programs out there, I personally like video, but you can find the whole gamut.

If your time is worth anything, plunking down $29 - $79 for a course that leads you by the hand from knowing nothing to your first commission checks is highly worth it in my opinion.

I always include bonuses in IM products I sell, and many others do to. Buying a $29 course, for instance, and finding out how to almost immediately make $30 to cover that cost really does not make it an expensive course.

There are threads here that spell out a great deal of info, but you will be bleary eyed and probably confused by conflicting opinions by the time you are very deep into it.

Just my opinion; to me, time is worth more than money, especially when we are talking less than $100 for a product with a money back guarantee.

    Regards,
    PCRoger.

I don't know, I think a new person can easily get buried in the war room; try to go too many different directions or simply get overwhelmed.

Kind of depends too on how tech savvy you are.

You know, everyone says that jump from one thing to another isn't good.. and yea maybe it prolonged my success.. But honestly, I don't regret my "newb" attention span being little to none.

When I look back on it, I'm really glad I learned everything on the front end. Because once you do find that effective strategy, you can use it time and again for several other types of offers.

SEO is the main focus of my business and accounts for almost all of my revenue. It's a great way to start out because it's free.

Personally I do enjoy being a War Room Member. The thing about IM is that there is A LOT to learn and digest before you can expect to hit it big (or small). You are definitely at the right place because the level of knowledge you can grasp just from reading the posts and implementing what you've read can help you immensely.

As far as a WSO, make sure whatever one you purchase has great support and allow you to ask questions about the system. Also, a step by step coaching program would be helpful also. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

I have been on the fence about the war room for a while now. Can someone tell me if you really need to be that tech savvy to start out? (I'm not lol)

What exactly is the war room about. Tell as much as you can without giving away what you paid for...

Noob. Online marketing is not a hobbie its a business. If you were serious about your online marketing education and implementation you would do the smart thing and get professional assistance to help you build your online business so you won't waste your good hard earned money on little quick fixes. They all add up at the end of the year.

I tend agree with reading the forums for info. I am new to IM -- so much to learn. I purchased services and books and found myself out of pocket with nothing coming in for the expenses I incurred. I'm successful in B-2-C and B-2-B but IM is a different beast. Reading the forums allows you to see yourself doing something without spending the $7-295 to find out if the information/product is worth its salt. I am beginning to have success after one day of marketing with something I happened upon.

Definitely join the war room - it's 37 or 47 for 20 years, and a lot of the WSO's get released to war room members as gives, as well as lots of other ebooks.

You're 100% correct on picking a game plan, setting your rules and sticking to them resolutely. Get the war room membership, read a ton of stuff in there for the next week or two, decide which direction you're headed and don't look back. Stick with it for at least... a year. Seriously. I've heard others say six months, but after six months you're really looking at just becoming fully adept at doing whatever it is you've chosen. The year mark is when you've actually learned what you need to know to do the job and "stuck with it", so to speak (I guess everything becomes boring and tedious after six months... some stuff less). This time next year you'll be an expert and know how to make money using your technique, whereas a lot of others still won't have a clue as to how to turn profit with any system, because they never made a plan they followed through on.

I think you should definitely surf around the forum for a while and find something that seems up your alley- then run with it.

A good WSO can help much more if you know the basics first!
