Become a SUPER PRODUCTIVE PERSON with this tip....it might even save your business.
I wanted to bring up something tonight that has really helped all of my clients become absolute machines with their internet marketing business. It's not a new trick on posting articles or ways to get massive traffic. It's more of a principle that will be sure to help you get more done.
I know there are tons of people out there taking their first steps into trying to make money with the internet. And I know there are lots of people that have been struggling at this game for a year +. No matter where you are in your career, you are more then likely thinking about everything that needs to be done on a daily basis to make a solid business work.
There's always tons of article writing, backlinking, forum posting, tweeting, facebook interactions, video creation, podcast recording, finding products, doing market research, creating products, making a quality sales funnel, testing, converting, and the list will go on and on. Especially in the early days, it can be overwhelming.
I'm sure you've heard everyone suggest outsourcing, but most of you can't. I know. I was right there. Everything has to be done solely by you right now.
Well try this. Focus. I know you're probably thinking, "well no crap Travis". Here's what I mean by the word focus.
Consider all the things that you know need to be done to make a business really work. I named only a handful above to show you how overwhelming it can seem at first. Now out of all the tasks that you need to have done, I want to you to consider the one tasks out of the bunch that will have the greatest impact on your business. Which one of those tasks would you do if you had only tonight to work on then you had to leave civilization for 30 days?
When you find which task or project this is, then only do that task. Don't consider even working on anything else other then this one task. Once that task is done, ask yourself the exact same question. Complete this task and rinse and repeat.
Now if you consider the 80/20 law. You are going to get the most reward from 20% of what you do. The key here is to FOCUS on those tasks that are in the 20% range.
Depending on where you are with your business, it might be something different.
If you are just newly creating a niche site, you have to know that you aren't wasting your time. You have to find out if people buy in that niche, is there any competition, how much realistic traffic could you pull on a monthly basis, is this worth a couple hours a day for months? At this stage, the most important thing you can do for your business is market and keyword research. If you start writing articles now, you are blindly using no keywords, you might not be targeting the right people, you could have something that no one is looking for. Research is the focus.
Maybe you are farther down the line with your business though. You have 100+ pieces of content on your site. You have the sales funnel or affiliate links set up to perfection. Now, you are missing the sales. Well, then your focus will be traffic. Work consistently and only on generating traffic to your site. After only a few weeks of solely perfecting traffic, you will see what the major sources are going to be for your niche site. Then you focus even deeper on those sources.
You see how simple that sounds? Here's the great thing. It is that simple. I know that projects can be overwhelming and all the crap we have to do on a day to day basis can kill a man/woman from stress. But, don't worry about all those things now.
You will never have enough time in the day to complete everything. If you don't have the capital to outsource these duties, then focus your time accordingly. By just doing the major tasks in the beginning, you will begin to see some progress. Progress = income. Use 10% of that income to start outsourcing and watch the progress grow exponentially each month.
Good luck. I hope that helped some out there that are struggling or feeling overwhelmed with everything there is to do with internet marketing.
