In What Order Do You Work On Your Site?

Hi, people. So I'm in the process of putting a site together, and though I've done a site or two in the past, this time I want to get it right.

I'm trying to figure out the best order for going through the process. Right now I'm writing the articles for it. I plan on getting reputable back-links, strategically placing keywords, finding a Wordpress theme that works well with ads, choosing the ad services, possibly adding images and embedding video etc. It seems to me that it would be best to go ahead and have at least the majority of the material for the site written before I start adding backlinks, for example, but I'm just not sure which order I should do it all in.

So my question to you is, what order do you all typically do all of this in? I'm sure that it matters to the search engines, so I want to get this right. Thanks, everyone.

Get your site put together so it's completely presentable when you focus on driving traffic. Not only is there really no point in sending traffic to an unfinished site, you'll be able to concentrate more effectively on your traffic efforts if you can devote more energy into it.

Other than that, there really is no "one right way" to put a site together. My suggestion though, would be to write everything down - prioritize what needs to be done. Check them off a list so you can keep track of everything you do.

Basically you are doing it right... Create the content, then drive the traffic.
