Does Article To Video Really Work?

Hey guys I just bough Big Mikes article to video and I was wondering does it do anything to help you get extra traffic. Because of the way it works I just cannot see anyone being interested in this format on youtube. In my personal opinion slideshows with voiceover that are less then 1:30 seem to be effective, or slide shows with voice over and pictures that are less then one minute.

One more question that is unrelated, when you submit your article to EZA first if you submit to the top other five directories the same article will they accept it? I was wondering because I always spin my article a bit, but it is becoming too time consuming and I want to submit it to the top five and let it be.

Some people really do prefer video to articles. I don't, but it won't hurt to broaden your horizons.

I know that EZA won't accept content if it's been previously submitted elsewhere, but I'm not sure about other article directories. You might put the article on your own blog, for instance, then mass-submit to blog directories, social bookmarks, Twitter, etc etc etc

Here is a cool EZA strategy: Submit your article first to EZA and then submit to the other directories.....

    Hope that helps

As long as it has your name on it, you do not need to submit it to them first. People keep saying this but it's not true. They even now offer a WP plug-in to make it easier to submit your blog posts directly to EZA.

They don't require unpublished work, just that it belongs to you and only you.

That works almost everytime. Even when it doesn't, it seems to be a good idea. Don't stop with the top five. There must be 200 directories out there. At least pick up another 20. If you get ten readers from each and two clicks that is progress. How much effort?

I don't know if I'm missing some trick but I did convert a lot
of my articles to videos and uploaded them to YouTube and
from the views they are the least popularly of my videos.

Of course, that is not a scientific test result but just
something you may factor in. My articles were PPT
slides with the articles being read.

A video always catch good attraction. If you post quality video you sure will gain good response. But I prefer uploading videos in YouTube. It does a great help for spreading your link.

Video article marketing is no different from standard article marketing. If you write a boring/garbage article it does nothing for you. If you create a boring/garbage video article it does nothing for you.

The key is not to become a lemming by following the crowd, instead become innovative with your video article marketing and set a new standard for everyone else to follow.

IMO those who think article videos don't work because the majority don't want to sit through an entire article being read I humbly suggest you rethink the advertising medium being discussed and it's purpose.

You actually don't want them listening to your long article anyways, so don't worry about it if most do not want to.

You give them a teaser and incentive to go to your site to read the whole article. If you give them the whole article you need to work harder to give them an incentive to go to your site after they have already gotten the info they wanted.

You want them to go to your site, read the article in it's entirety there and monetize them. (You don't go directly for the sale in an article video)!

A video article will serve at least these 4 purposes.

    1. Gain an authority backlink from youtube and other video sites.
    2. Use those backlinks to improve rankings of your article on your site.
    3. Use those rankings to funnel people from the search engines to your site.

    4. Funnel people from youtube to your site.

Tip: A video article can be your "mini classified for the real article" with the purpose of moving that visitor to your site where you can monetize them.

(It doesn't have to be a full article, and your whole message can include anything you want to say, not just what is in the article.)

    Hope that helps,

Video article marketing does work and the rules are very similar to article marketing. You must have great content and you must not depend on just one video. I recommend 15 to 30 video articles per keyword.

Using the article to video software for me would have to be a last resort. Uniqueness, personality, branding, a balance between quality and the informality of Social Media style video, hand crafted powerpoints are important from where I stand.

Gurus are saying they get far better response from video sales letters than their traditional long sales letters.

A niche SME/SMB technology firm I know gains excellent lead generation from video. They are a key source of global responses from one man bands to Fortune 500 companies.

Why I come from this angle is through training others in Social Media.

That was a good answer, I am surprised I never though of doing it that way. A short teaser as an advertisement for my real article. By combining this with some youtube techniques I learned from others it might actually work. My goal is to get 200+ views average to every article I write. Right now I am stuck at 100.

This is a really useful thread. I have also wondered whether article2video is really as great as it is said to be because i have never tried it on any of my articles. Judging by the responses to this thread, I think my reservations were kinda justified. Any way this is a very good thread.

As for Enzine, i am sure they don't like submissions to them shared on other websites. I guess that is something that really sucks, huh? But, that's the way it is.

It works extremely well if it's well thought out and executed. You've got to keep it short, build up some emotional response through emotional triggers, and use a cliff hanger so that they will WANT to come over to your money page, opt-in page, or whatever landing page you want to send them to.

It has to be relevant and you can't just submit a few of these, consistency is extremely CRITICAL to making this work (along with just about everything everyone else wrote, like that Tim G. guy......).

Now, now Rod...be nice. I'm knee deep in the middle of product creation and my nerves can't take that much teasing....lol

One of the best strategies you can use when doing internet or affiliate marketing is take content in articles and make videos and upload them to Tubemogul.com or Traffic Geyser.

My advice would be to do it yourself.

Here are the methods for unlimited content from articles.

    Method 1
    1. Use an article (preferably yours) and get a good understanding of the main points.
    2. Create a powerpoint presentation covering the main points of the article.
    3. Use Jing (jingproject.com) to record the powerpoint presentation and add your audio. You can either read the article verbatim, or just summarize the article using the main content. Jing is completely free and you can record videos up to 5 minutes long.
    4. Upload the video to tubemogul.com or traffic geyser.
    5. Add the video to your website or blog as additional content.

    Method 2
    1. Find an article and get a good understanding of the content.
    2. Use your webcam or video camera to present the information.
    3. Upload it to tubemogul or traffic geyser.
    4. Add it to your blog or website

You now know how you can use articles to generate unlimited content for video marketing.

  • OK, Here's the answers you're looking for about EZA.
Yes they will accept an article that's been published elsewhere, (your own blog or article site for example), but it must be unique, and yours. If it even smells like it's been plagiarized, they will refuse it.
LandOfFormosa has the best technique, and I've used it myself. Submit to EZA first, wait the usual long time, and when it's accepted, spin and blast it as far as you can.
By the way, another good article site to post to is ArticleExtreme

You can submit article videos to Podcast sites too. This is
not as well-known as video submission, but basically similar
and you can pick up some traffic that way.

Article videos ARE boring to watch, especially if you're
cranking them out with the Incansoft product as quick
as possible, but the point is, sort of, to get backlinks.

If you really want to do it nice, set up a teleprompter and
do your articles that way. Having a pretty woman read
your articles off the teleprompter is a good way to get
more views. For some reason YouTubers seem more
interested in attractive female talking heads than in male
ones. This is just an observation - I have no hard proof.

I have started to transform my eBay listings into youtube video clips that were all less than 3:00, and for some odd reason, I like making little videos but hate writing descriptions. My sales have slightly improved.
