The Power Of Pre-Selling For "Bum" Marketers
Hey everybody, it's a cold friday night here in the land of the long white cloud, so before I head out with some mates I thought I'd quickly share some of the pretty interesting results I've had with pre-selling for my bum marketing efforts.
In a particular niche I promote two products; they vary in a few different ways, but generally target the same sort of audience, have a similar price, and similar Clickbank gravity score.
Product A I promote by researching long tail keywords, writing articles that I submit to EZA, Buzzle, etc that include an affiliate link redirect in the resource box (ie the reader is taken from my article straight to the "get out your credit card and read my sales pitch" page)
Over the last 14 days I have had 3,456 Hops, generating $387-ish in sales (recounting this off the top of my head here btw) so thats around 11 cents per hop.
Product B I focus on pre-selling, so I have articles, hubs, squidoo lenses, videos, forum posts, blog posts etc that all link to a pre-sell page where the customer gets a review of the product, they learn exactly how much it costs, what the refund policy is, etc etc; they aren't left wondering about anything really.
Now here's the interesting bit - Over the last 14 days I have had 172 hops, but $175 in sales, so that is over $1 per hop. I have only been promoting this product for a couple of months, whereas product A I have been promoting for around 1 year.
From around 1/30th of the number of hops, I have been able to generate 1/2 the amount of revenue, all because of the power of pre-selling! If you are a bum marketer I recommend you try pre-selling to see if it boosts your results.
