Google Keyword Tool - High "Broad Search" Low [Exact] now what?

I have found some great domains that I am considering whether to purse or not.

One example has 91 searches on the exact search and then 1 900 searches on broad.

Another example has 320 searches on the exact search and then 1 300 searches on broad.

What would this mean in terms of whether to try this domain or not? Would you try this domain?

Any input will be highly appreciated.

    JMO opinion but you're way to low. IF you reach the first page of Google you can expect those search numbers to be fairly accurate most of the time, but if you don't the those numbers are meaningless.

    The #1 spot would would receive around 40% click through (Guesstimate), but the average for the rest of the page would probably be around a 5% click through. I think the second page dropped to around 17% of the total searches. If you were selling something you'd also need to factor in your conversion rate for sales (probably around 2-5%)

    Some people mention around 2000 exact match searches minimum when getting a domain, but I tend to go a bit higher.

      I agree, they are low, but for the purpose of this question lets just say it is a select niche.

      I am just wondering what other marketers would say about the huge difference in the search numbers and would they purse the domains?

    The difference between Exact and Broad doesn't make that much of a difference, though you may have to face the fact that if it's a broad niche/category term and the broad match is pretty high (xxx,xxx) but Exact is very low (xx to low xxx), chances are the thing they're looking for includes another word or two...if you let the keyword tool give suggestions and keep it on exact, you should find out what the term is that includes your keywords that is getting most of the searches, in which case if the domain for THAT term is available, that would be better for you to develop on to get more SE traffic.

    Bottom line though, Exact match is mostly what you should be focused on in terms of how much traffic you can expect with a high ranking. Also, I wouldn't necessary dog searches for a term in the low xxx (below that is somewhat on the low side though). It may still have very high avg CPC and be something such that a lead or customer is worth lots of money, so you don't need as much traffic to see profit.
