Before I make some promotion videos I wanted to ask about voiceovers.
How many of you actually use your own voice when recording your video?
Have any of you used a voiceover? If so, was your experience a good one or a bad one?
How much should you expect to pay for a voiceover? Was it worth the money?
regards

depending on what you want to do. Do the voice over yourself. I will save you time and money. Addtionally, people will trust you more.

I use my own voice when making a video. It's easier for me to edit out the extra bits, and I just say things over and over until I feel right about it.

As long as I can do the talking, I likely won't hire anyone to do it.

If I were doing something high end and needed a dramatic man voice I might look into it, but that would be the only time.

I have no problem using my voice its just my voice may not be the easiest to understand
My accent is very broad so I was thinking about using a neutral voice

You should check out Fiverr.com, there are some listings for videos w/ voiceovers and some are pretty top-notch video people.

I haven't used any yet, but check it out as many of them have samples available...Oh, and they'll do it for $5.

I outsource in other niches (because people won't trust a 17 year old would they ) but in the IM niche I do my videos myself.

    I always record it myself.

The only time I would use a voice over is if i was making a duplicate-able generic video for someone to use. (like a team or specific group of people)

Otherwise you are hearing my voice.

Why don't you buy some Text to Audio Softwares?
Natural Reader is one that comes to mind first.

I had checked the Demo in their website and they sound natural and good.

    Cheers
