Increase Traffic

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to offer any suggestions for my forum as far as what I should do to increase traffic.

    Hi Gary,

    I think the reason you haven't gotten responses here is that there are just hundreds of things you can do!

    Some of them would be go to related forums and start contributing with your link back to yours in your signature.

    Do a search on Twitter for folks that are in the same niche as your forum and start following them and their followers. Make useful tweets relating to your forum topic.

    Follow threads here at Warrior Forum that you can contribute to and make sure your link is in your signature.

    Create a Hugpage and a Squidoo lens.

    That's a start!

    Have you researched your keywords find a keyword that gets over 10000 searches a month build a blog or a site around that and you can increase traffic considerably.It also helps to build blogs referring back to your site to make backlinks for your site which will increase page ranking.It is imperative though that you have good keywords with considerable searches.     A good press release or article blasted into the media could do wonders.. but making sure you forum has proper SEO is a must, social media marketing can work quiet well, even paying for traffic like PPC might work but if it's a forum I'm not sure that would be the best route to go.

    All the above is extremely good advice.
    I would also add to post your articles in high ranking article directories such as ezinearticles.com, go articles.com

    Also buy a few PLRs and give them away for free. Create a tiny squeeze page with an optin box in it. People will enter their email address to get the free product if they feel it might help them solve their problems. This will help you build a list of people you can get in touch with whenever you like. Do this for a few months and your list will get very big...

    I just posted a article on an easy way to build a subscriber base with Twitter on my blog. You can find it in the signature below. Other than twitter you can also use other social media as well. Articles are good, but just take a lot of time and personally I think there are better ways to get traffic such as jv giveaway events, social media (repeat), a blog (fast indexing), and comment posting on other's blogs are a good start.     For a forum?...Hmm I would use Twitter, Facebook, Myspace, Digg, Propeller, Youtube, and use other forums in the same niche.

    Don't seek for traffic here and there.

    First find a less resource availability in internet and write about that blog.
    If you do so,the traffic(visitors) will visit your site.

    First Give 90% importance to content and 10% to promotional method.

      Do proper SEO on your forum, find many non-competitive long-tail keywords for your forum. Then build plenty of quality backlinks to your forum site; and definitely you will have great traffic. Don't worry. You can do it!

        double your site traffic by creating videos and upload it in youtube and other video sharing sites. and create video sitemap get more traffic.

        we know youtube is the second search engine.

    Customer Loyalty would be a pretty big thing i think, if you're loyal to your customer then they will choose to shop at your store compared to the bigger stores, they only reason they shop at the bigger chain is they can do way better prices because they really big so usually just buy the products in bulk and get massive discounts but if you offer your customers the total package as in great customer service, loyalty as in putting them first, good price,

    Getting traffic is not easy, especially if you are in a competitive niche. Link building is always the most important thing and this is why you need social meeting and networking with other influential bloggers in your niche.

    You can maintain a big Facebook fan page. But you must update it with new information. Another method is integrating RSS feed with twitter. There are many free tools. I could get free traffic from those simple methods.

    There's free and paid traffic. The quickest way to get traffic is to pay for it if you have the funds. The other is organic or free traffic which comes from high search engine rankings thru placing your link on other sites. This takes much longer. Which are you interested in?
