Does Anybody Know A Good Affiliate Store Script...

That will refresh products with new ones if/when links expire?

I had a very frustrating experience with shareasale last year - I signed up to a supplement company and was making consistent sales through making my page look like a store selling supplements.

Suddenly I get an email from the supplement company saying - We're going offline for 6 months. GREAT!! I had built about 30 pages (not a lot) and had planned to build a lot more BUT when this happened I had to completely change (manually!) all the products to products from another store.

This was so frustrating and mind-numbing. I literally had to swap products that were exactly the same as each other just because this store had gone down.

Now every time I see "low funds" next to my affiliate store's name, my heart stops because I think the same thing is going to happen again!

Any scripts that just replace products guys without me having to do anything?

P.S By the way I also use Popshops to build my shareasale stores..but this doesn't replace dead link products with new ones.

    I would check the outsourcing sites...

    Have someone write a script you can run that will connect to the db the popshops script uses. Then have the script they create modify the db entries that store the images and target url's with the new information.

      Hmm interesting, thanks for your reply! I will give that a bash if I don't find something already out there.

      I take it there isn't anything out there that does this already? Maybe apart from Amazon or something? Am I doomed to just manually change hundreds of pages if/when the company I'm affiliated with goes down?

      I would have thought this was a common problem with affiliates who sell store products - Surprised there isn't something out there!
