Godaddy is running another .99 domain name special, don't know for how long this will run for but I registered a new .com domain name yesterday for .99 plus .18 for the fee.

99INDY is the latest $0.99 GoDaddy Promo Code

    Nice tip, thank you.

Because the discount only works on one year registration does anyone know if it's possible after you've purchased to go back in and renew it for several years, which would give you the chance to use a different promo code?

I like to get domains for several years, for SEO benefits.

I've bought five and renewed three in the past week. So yeah, bit of an "oh well" for me, too.

But I remember $50 a year domains, so I'm really not inclined to complain.

Oh yeah, let me guess: network solutions circa 1995. Maybe even sooner. I am pretty sure I paid about $40-$45 for my first right around mid to late 95. Those were some interesting times.

Speculative value if you are talking about Google. Doesn't have much impact. guess I will use godaddy for another domain if this is still working. If not for these sales I never touch them with a ten foot pole.

And 1 and 1 is having a special on their packages, 3 months free and they give you free domain names also. So if you want to set up some sites, by the time you need to make a payment, you will already be bringing money in. ROI should be pretty damn good!

Just remember, after 1 year (or when your domain expires) the price will be back to normal. Don't go off buying 100 domains because your bill will be a kick in the wallet next year.

With all my renewals, I always got a discount so it's never really full price.

I was on the fence about a domain I wanted and I took advantage of this offer BECAUSE of this post and got the .info domain for free to boot. My total for a dot com and a dot info was $1.35. THANK YOU!

That's Right. Goddaddy is giving away the comparable dot.INFO name for free with a dot.com registration...

i think they are tricking us all like they did with the .info domain. after one year you pay 8.99$

no wonder why people move their domains to other companies. i guess this is what happen when they spend most of their money on TV commercials during the superball

Just a quick word of warning for non-U.S. buyers; Godaddy are charging in U.S. dollars straight to your bank a/c, which means that unlike Paypal you will get hit with a conversion charge from dollars to your own currency.

My bargain domain has cost me three times the amount I was expecting.

EDIT: Despite being told by Crystal in Godaddy's billing support department that the charge was by my bank in turns out to be Godaddy, or their bank, which are making the charge for converting from U.S. dollars to Sterling.

Great tip! Well worth checking out.

My only concern is that I have used them before (not currently) and I found them difficult to "get along with". One thing that was a but annoying was their constant attempts to up-sell and cross-sell whenever you try to do something on the site. They were also not so easy to use with the blogs, etc that I was using at the time.

    Anyway, thanks for the tip!

This code has not been working for a few days now. Must have expired, though I was able to get 3 domains at that price.

If all else fails, use this code for $6.99 .com domains
