Over 200 sales in three days

I was talking to my brother yesterday and he told me about a fellow who works for him who's son put an ad on Costco's web site home page. I wasn't aware that you could do that. He told me that the son sold well over 200 items in 72 hours. He didn't have a whole lot of information about it and I don't know where to go to get any. So I am wondering if anyone here knows.

The item was a product, not a downloadable item. Obviously, it would be something that would fit the Costco customer base. I understand that the three days cost him $2,500 for the ad, but obviously, it was well worth it. That is about the sum total of what I know, but would like to know more so I figured I would ask the folks here. Anyone have any answers to this?

That is the power of CPA.

High traffic authority websites will charge you a lot for an ad placement but it's well worth it.

But the real money is found when you yourself build an authority website (for any niche) and charge others for the ads.

Costco is probably making a lot of money through CPA (not that they need it though).

Thank you for that, Daniel. I'm only a newbie but when I read that, a lightbulb went on...

For those not in know, like us non-americans, can anyone tell what costco is ?

From my observation, it looks like any other discount shop which undoubtedly have high traffic.

Costco is a discount store that charges you a membership fee and tells you they are selling you at wholesale and usually makes you buy in larger packages and bundles. I emphasize the part about tells you they are selling you at wholesale as I find that their prices are about the same or possibly a little less than you can get at any good discount store.

But to answer your question, your impression is about right. They do have a hell of a following or membership though.

    Here's their US site:
    http://www.costco.com/Service/Featur...=BC&lang=en-US

Check the left column on that page. There are a few link options there for making contact, plus an FAQ.

I'd email or call them and simply ask who is in charge of advertising on their web site. They should be able to refer you to the correct people.

Or you could just ask your brother to ask his workmate if he can get specific details for you.
