PLR article memberships still in demand?

How do you feel about PLR article memberships, are they over done and are there too many?

How does this look for a PLR article membership structure:

50 articles per month
50 maximum members
Under $20 bucks a month

Highly limited memberships are obviously more desirable - who thinks 50 people is a fair number? I notice many PLR memberships allow over 200 people to access the content.

I've been a member of a few PLR memberships and some have been really good whilst the quality of articles in some are just rubbish, to be blunt! I think there is probably room for more quality PLR memberships.

    To me it sounds expensive, only because there are sites that will offer that, plus an e-book/report, graphics etc, all for a lower price.

    The market now is more for niche specific articles - so if you can find the right hook to get customers on a monthly basis you might get further.

      In my opinion I don't think that "high quality" PLR article memberships are over and done. The combination of very high quality articles (spell checked, grammar checked, etc) and a limited membership that is small, should be a winning combination.

      But for how many members? That is an important factor. It's easy to offer a very low price if you are allowing 300 people to access the same content.

        Very true - however I wouldn't dream of using PLR material without rewriting it - so anywhere with an order of magnitude between 10 and 300, the result is going to be the same.

        Plus many memberships with a theoretical maximum of 300 only actually have 30 or so members at any one time. Smart buyers will always find those first.

        If you can get 50 articles, 50 members, $20 a month, obviously that's a nice profit, but it's going to be harder than you think. Any Warriors you get aren't going to want to pay more than half that (via Warrior Special Offer). Alternatively you can promote through affiliates (again they'll be looking to take 50%). So you're only left with $500 a month to cover production costs, running costs and profit, assuming full membership (unlikely). I can't see a long term solution there.

        If you are set on PLR articles, the niche products (e.g. fifty weight loss articles a month) is the way to go.

    Hello,

    I could not agree more. To make this work I would go niche specific.

    What I would do is look at niches such as weight loss, pets, health care, etc. and offer a FREE monthly membership that gives maybe 5 PLR articles a month.

    You could then use the free membership level to build your list and get testimonials. Just MAKE SURE you're completely tight with the content quality (grammar, etc.).

    If you're gonna outsource you really need to check the quality of the work before uploading to your web server. Don't embarrass yourself by "blaming" your outsource team. Do the obvious like Copyscape, etc.

    Not sure what niche to target?

    Pick 4 or 5 niches, write a couple of PLR articles for each niche and run a WSO offering them for FREE for an opt-in. You would get the word out on your quality article writing and you're surveying what niches are in demand (of the 4 or 5 you chose to write about).

    Then, BAM...go launch your membership site!

      I believe (and hope) that PLR Article Memberships aren't going out of style.

      I am in the process of setting one up......500 members maximum (usually around 100 active).

      I am providing 300 articles PLR personal use articles, 13 VRE Adsense websites, JPG and PSD Headers/Footers, 5 Unrestricted PLR ebooks with sales pages, and an additional 100 - 200 unrestricted PLR articles. Plus a complete Article Marketing Course with 4 new volumes every month for a year.

      I hope to launch in Late September or Early October (there is a LOT to do to set up a membership site like this, with split testing sales letters, the banners, the email ads, etc etc).

      And I'm only going to be asking 24.95 a month for "core membership" that's only 4.95 more than your 50 articles and 50 members.

      Check it out. Download the articles, Copyscape them.

      I have already given away close to 100 sets to warriors and a few other lists to drum up interest, so you will possibly find some are already out there and indexed...but, each month these 300 articles are BRAND NEW.

        Absolutely... without a doubt... Quality *is* the determining factor, at least to me.

        PLR sites have been popping up all over the place in the last year... It seems like the only pre-requisite is to have access to a computer and know how to piece a few words together. There is absolutely no topic specialization – same person writes about everything.

        You can buy this stuff all day long but the truth is nobody will want to read it. That’s why typical PLR requires major re-writes involving lots of research, and then you still end up with something nobody finds interesting because you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about, either.

        I pay dearly for good PLR - many time more than what your offering - and I wouldn't expect to pay anything less. And this is because I want actual subject matter experts to write it, and these guys/gals aren’t cheap.

        The trick is to find a source that can provide content on a variety of subjects that is interesting AND correct. Leaving you only to rewrite the presentation, not the idea of the content. These sources are hard to find, almost impossible in one place.

        Key = specialize in content you know and only offer that content.
