The (not so) secret to my 10k a month success...

Lame title... I know, but pay attention because this is important.

Step 1. Find a business model where YOU get paid before you do services.
Step 2. Hire someone else to do the services for a fraction of the cost.
Step 3. Set up the business model so you get paid recurring on contract basis.
Step 4. Create a process for everything.
Step 5. Repeat.

Impossible to have a negative cash flow and you can easily run at a 70% profit margin.

Discussion?

Cheers

I definitely agree, this is the essence of any good business model. The mistake is to try and work for your returns, when there is a tremendous amount of need and desire that dictate you will have many work for your idea rather than your effort.

      Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to this game, I've been creating my 'engine' for the last 2 months and have been live less than a week. So I'm sorry if my comment sounds naive!

Whilst I understand the importance and sense of leverage, surely the most enjoyable and sustainable way of producing solid monthly residual and growing income is to focus on doing something that you love to do rather than just finding the quickest way to make $80 a day or $10k a month.

I'm not saying that those numbers aren't attractive, of course they are, but are they sustainable if you're simply following the latest 'quick win' business model as opposed to really focusing on how what you do benefits others, creates trust and ensures your customers keep buying from you again and again year after year??

I've just come out of a profitable offline business because I just couldn't stand doing something I didn't enjoy anymore. Now I'm going to spend all my time working on my passion, which is to help others build businesses and right now I'm loving every minute of writing my own content and making my own videos and giving as much value as possible.

Clearly I'm going to leverage out some of the work as I grow as there is only 1 of me, but I will always do the educational stuff that I love to do.

I don't just want a money churning machine, I want a business that means something and that helps people change their own lives.

I don't think there's necessarily a wrong way or a right way in this game, but it does strike me that many people after the 'quick win' end up with nothing after months of trying!

There are a number of people out there who have already discovered that what they love to do will never make them any money. They're going one direction, while people like you and I are going the other. While we do the things we enjoy, and people pay us money for doing it... there are a lot of people who need to be paid money so they can do the things they enjoy.

Arguing about which is best is sort of like arguing about whether one should travel north or south to reach a particular destination. It sort of depends on where you are.

    Hi Entreprenette,

What you are selling with this kind of business model that Adam mentions is not really important. Once you mastered it, you can plug any niche into it.

Become a student of marketing, not of products. The world has enough products but is in need of more people that can market them successfully.

For example I sell in a lot of niches I have no interest in what so ever, but because I use this business model, it doesn't really matter, there is money in those niches and once the niche is plugged in and starts rolling, I have very little to do with the process.

I love marketing, I really enjoy putting a campaign together and watch as it eventually takes on a live of its own. What product I market doesn't matter.

    Regards,

    Sam
