Good Wordpress Plugins For Speedy Blog Loading Times?

I use JRcompression, and speed cache. What are some other good ones I may not be aware of?

A fast loading blog is essential in todays time people are impatient so I feel this is a great topic to research. The fastest blog wins lol thanks in advance!

Load speed isn't that important. It's a factor, one of MANY!

You probably know that Google takes account of speed as it improves user experience...

...ONE of OVER *200* things they take account of!

Do a search to discover how to improve load time, there's a bunch of things that can be done. Here's one --> Click Here

WP Super Cache seems to be pretty popular.

I try to avoid using extra plugins if I can avoid them, so I feel it is better to just tweak your site to load faster by avoiding using really large image/video files that are hosted on the site, avoid web hosts like Godaddy (notorious for slow load times on WP sites) and limit plugins to the necessities.

Hey Mr. Greg, what plugins do you use on your WP blogs, if you don't mind me asking? Right now, I have like around 20 or so plugins on each of my blogs, but I'm trying to become a "minimalist" like you, LOL!

W3 Total Cache for the win!

Easy to set up, default settings work well, and has a host of options if you want to accelerate your site speed by using S3 to host your images.

Also, a host using Litespeed will perform better.

WP Super Cache is one I've used, but basically to improve speed loading time, I eliminate plugins that I don't really need.

    Hi,

I just went through my blog trying to tweak it and what I found worked the best was.

-Go through plugins and deactivate all that you do not need.
-go to tools.pingdom.com/ and type in your domain and do a search. This will give you the loading speed of your site but more interesting it will list everything on your site that it loads and the size of it. This will show you were you can optimize better (jpg's, js, css etc etc)

Using these quick things took away 33% off my loading time - Good stuff!

    Good luck!

    Regards

If you are using Firefox, you can also use the Firebug add-on.

Not a plugin, but I recently went from a VPS to cloud computing and ... POW! -- night and day difference. (I was having problems with Wordpress going crazy and hogging space way beyond what it was supposed to. So that's why I switched in the first place.)

Wp Super Cache works pretty fine but of all the cache plug-ins I've used none surpasses W3 Total Cache with it's added CDN functionality.

Webmaster Tools now reports a site load time of 10 seconds for my blog all the way from 45 seconds. Simply amazing
