Do safelists work?
I've been using safelists to build my list but with almost zero success.
What's your experience?

Email marketing is a powerful way to marketing online, but when your prospects are opening your emails for advertising credits you probably only have 10-20 seconds to grab their attention.

Hi, i wouldnt bother with safelists ive tried them and they really are a waste of time, you want to build a responsive list from the start who have actually came to you themselves and opted into your list, honestly the best way to go is create good value, offer it for free, no money initially but if its good value your offering, for example a good ebook people will trust you, then you can build a relationship with your list and your laughing, because then you can offer affiliate products and from that initial free product you gave them, now your benefiting from doing that. If you have a good double opt in list of subscriber, your set for life, FACT. hope i helped

I used safelists in the past with little to no success.

I basically did as I was told to get the highest conversion possible. Which meant set up a squeeze page to build your list.

I have 3 gmail accounts that still get bombarded with e-mails from safelists that I joined in the past =/

IMO the effort for the return was not worth it.

Ive had little to no success with them myself.

BUT Iv'e heard certain individuals who I trust greatly, who say they DO work when used correctly.

So if you're hell bent in using them, I would find those people and ask them directly on how to use them.

Most people won't speak highly of safelists because its a hard method to get great results from if you're just "closing your eyes and hoping for the best".

hi ernie, well possibly they can work, but i just wouldnt want to build a list using safelists, as kotaspain said these people are on your site to basically earn credits, i would think 95% of them dont even look at the site and are just waiting for that timer to hit 0. thats my opinion anyway. ive wasted alot of money on them

Johnny don't get me wrong I wouldn't build a list or business just from safelist advertising either what I am saying is they can work if used correctly and some people may be hitting a plateau with their current advertising methods and may want to open a new one up such as safelists.

      Hey guys,
thanks very much for your thoughts.
      Well, this was my experience.
I got into safelists through an excellent company called viralurl.
They have great promotional tools and I started use them...
Thing is that my inbox started to get literally flooded with emails and I ended up deleting them in bulk.
And this, I guess, probably happens to must all subscribers.

Thank you so much again for sharing your thoughts...

If you are offering safelist members free tools that will help them promote their own business then they might sign up to your list.

Only a small percentage of safelist memberships are even active, which means the only way to have a chance at getting your ad to all the members in the first place is to send a contact solo ad.

Another method is reverse marketing, where you go through safelist ads and look for email addresses to contact. If done correctly, you can establish a relationship with these people, but as always, you need to offer them something of value. Maybe you have a service to offer such as hosting, website editing/building, etc.
