Payroll.... What is important to you...

HI,
I need some feedback about a full service payroll service:
1. what is the most important thing to everyone?
2. What should I charge? $$$/month
3. Should I give discounts to Not For Profit firms?

4. If you had 4 employees and pay two times a month what would that be worth......

The system will be bonded, run by CPA, and might have an affiliate program if you feel it would be worth it......This would have direct deposit, auto fed deposits, w2 at end of year, live person to talk to.

Thanks very much for your time....

Roger

    1. No mistakes
2 Depends on what competitors are charging
3 is that normally done in the market you're looking at?
    4. depends on what I am paying for that now.

The most important thing is service, good, reliable, courteous SERVICE
It depends on how many employees, and if it's 2 or 4 pay periods per month. I have paid anywhere from $ 25 per pay period to $80.
Everyone should be treated equally - no discounts!
    $75 per month

You are running into more competition as the banks are now offering payroll services. They give you all the tools you need to generate the payroll, including payroll taxes, w-2's, or 1099's, and it's all included in your free online banking.

First, as stated above is reliable service.
Second, I hope you are using a Software as a Service platform that the bookkeeper can use on the internet from anywhere not just one computer with software installed.
The monthly fee is typically a percentage of payroll. I think we pay 0.2% Then they charge around $2 per employee on top of that.

      Roger,

I have found the best way to get these answers, not that the WF folks are not a good source, is to become your client. Go shop it yourself. Call up your competition and see what they are offering. What else comes with the service? What benefits do they offer? How did they try to sell you?

After shopping 5 or 6 folks your idea of what to do will be much clearer.
