Recording Skype Calls - SOS!!!

I have just taken the trial version of Powergrammo (what the pros recommend for recording Skype calls) and it seems to be recording the test Skype call just fine, but when I go to record a live call to a landline (or mobile phone) it says that it is recording but doesn't save the recording!

Arrg, anyone else use Powergramo?? If not, what software do you use to record Skype?

    Hmm, even worse. The recording only comes out in the left channel and breaks up with Pamela. Oh well, I guess I'm gonna have to outsource yet another aspect of my business!

    Powergramo seems to have worked fine in the past.

    However, my recent skype recording with Kevin Riley went tits up in the last 20 minutes and has some kind of weird techno noise in it.

    I've learned that if you have multiple programs open or the skype signals go down, it seriously affects your recording quality and you only realize this when you are done recording.

    So you are better off not using any other programs and making sure you have a strong internet connection.

    I spent an hour with one guy on the skype, and the Pamela program completely lost the recording. The flashing record light was on for the guy, and he could never find the recording.

    I don't do interviews with people who use pamela anymore . I've used Callburner.com for the last while, to do interviews with some top knotch people, and to be interviewed... I've never had 1 issue, it always works..

    Use callburner This is one of the only times I'll tell you to spend $50 on Software. I usually choose the Open Source alternatives.

    I'm using skype since long time. I haven't your problem. It works well. You have told, it's a trial version. As I think, the problem is out there. You should install a full version.

    If you are using skype for audio and video calls then pamela is best for Audio recording. and you can try vodburner video call recorder. Pamela is certified by skype, but vodburner is not.

      A friend of mine wanted to try something online with me and I thought about recording a video call through Skype would be the easiest way. So I did some research and tried Vodburner to do this:

      And it came out pretty good, except maybe for a little bit of echo as we were talking to each other through Skype but seated in front of each other.

      The only other issue I had with Vodburner, I'm obviously not a pro with videos and it took a lot of space on my hard drive which worried me at the time but that is until you format the video. I suppose, it could probably be saved on an external hdd. I did contacted Vodburner and they said it was normal to get a high quality video call.

      At that time also, we could not do a 3 way video call but I think you can do that now.
