...how would you get it indexed and ranking?

Let's say you have pretty cheap ways to get content on all sorts of topics, and you can get a lot of that content.

How would you get it indexed, ranking, and ultimately driving traffic? Would you use SEO at all?

And by content I don't mean just your regular articles - I mean all kinds of content people are looking for - it could be information, it could be software, it could be a service, images, documents, etc.

    I would like to do SEO on it, thats it. Because it will bring me a long term profit, thats what we want. From my past experience I learned lot. If you want long term profit you have to work on SEO...

    SEO is the key. learn the ropes yourself and get cracking.There are simple SEO tricks which you can learn just by reading forums and get your content / sites indexed by Google in a jiffy. It's no big deal. With advanced SEO, you can get better rankings and start raking in money. Content is king !

    OK. Maybe I'm primitive but from what I've seen for the last few years SEO is all about Google and backlinks... there's nothing too advanced about it.

    Let's put it in another form - how do you get that many links for content that's nothing "sexy".

    As an example - take this site - Pipl - People Search... Nothing special about it, all the content is auto-generated/scrapped, yet it has over 6M pages indexed in GG, 2K Alexa ranking, and 40K backlinks.

    How do you do that trick is beyond my imagination at this point...
