You will be working either way and it depends completely on your work ethic, however it is easier to increase your income working online than in a 9-5 job.

You will most definitely make more money online verses working a 9-5. But you have to be patient, because in most cases you don't get rich overnight.

    Depends,

For me, online business is better because that's how I make more money. For Bill Gates, Offline is better because he makes more money that way.

    It's all up to you

It depends on your 'niche' and where your customers are looking for what you have to sell. I would disagree with anybody who said that either was easier than the other. Easy money quickly fills up with competition. Work hard and take a long term approach for success.

Can you hire high quality/full time workers for $400/month offline?

Pick one or TWO MAX mentors(they don't have to be teaching you one on one..they can be a guru) and stick with them to start...go through all of their material and do all the things they taught you...

If you're genuinely interested and your new to this...Eben Pagan is launching a product called guru blueprint on June 1st.

He's one of 2! guys I follow right now and I'd recommend it to anyone reading...that's how good he is...if anyone knows Eben, they know he's good...I've never even met this guy btw : P

He's just my biz idol so I thought I'd spread the love.

At its core there is no difference.

      It's all just business.

And business is fundamentally about providing products and services to real people.

Many internet marketers leave a fortune on the table by ignoring other marketing methods like the telephone and direct mail.

Many brick and mortar businesses leave a fortune on the table by ignoring internet marketing methods and using the internet as a tool.

The best money is in integrating every communication method (including the internet) in your sales and marketing process in the most effective way possible.

      Kindest regards,

In a lot of ways, I have expanded my business by actually setting up a local brick and mortar store and Not trying to compete with literally thousands of other websites selling the same thing I am. Of course I still have a site and a system set up, but local sales are awesome and retail is fun when there is a high profit margin.

Taxes are higher when self employed (in the US) and no health benefits picked up by an employer.
As to which makes more money, that is a definite 'depends'. I think once you 'get it', there is more flexibility on-line and no boss to impede your goals, however with many, they are worse than the boss to themselves and they have no boss to 'motivate' them either. So like I said 'depends'.
If you are the CEO of a company and are making 30-40 million plus stock options now, I think it would take a while to match that on-line. So, 'depends'.
(Wonder how many more times I can say 'depends' and if they have an affiliate program?)

Definitely running your own business online. You can set your own hours and write your own paychecks. Not everyone is cut out for a 9-5 job, and most people don’t have the means to start their own brick and mortar business. So internet business provides a solution and an opportunity to alot of people who other wise wouldn’t have one.

I tried working for other people at numerous times in my life and it’s just never worked out. I always felt the people above me were incompetent, and if given the chance I could do a much better job. But I was never given that opportunity due to corporate politics. I knew in my heart that I was an entrepreneur and working for someone else would never work for me.

It's up to you and your motivation.

I'm my own boss in "real world" and also online, so I'm not marketing online just because I don't like my boss or working on a 9-5 job.

I started studying internet marketing to complement my offline business. I learned a lot of things that I'm applying in my offline business.

But I ended up by loving this "internet marketing" thing. So I decided to create a business in this area.

Now I have two business: one in the real world, the other online. The real life is giving me more money, but it will change by the end of the year.

Either you work offline or online, if you pretend to create a business you must plan for a business, not just an activity to make some money.

I agree with Andrew on focusing on the business-piece more than whether it's online or offline. The only advantage of having a strictly online business is it's pretty much low-overhead.

But which is better? Just to compare apples to apples, you'll do better with a successful business over being successful in a career. But you could suck at owning a business and be a great employee.

    So it depends.

Business online is definitely a good alternative to work at the real world that many people have quoted before saying that you only make your boss richer where you get peanuts to make a living.

Then only when a person can make money level somewhere near the guru level for instance Ewen Chia and live the internet lifestyle then can a person experience the fulfillment of the business online world.

    Cheers

The line between working online and offline is diminishing. So many people that work for major corporations spend all of their work day online... how would you classify that person? Online worker or offline worker?

Even if you own your own "offline" business, if you are smart then you are finding customers via online methods.

Hi mt33, the thing about working online is that you need a balance. You need to focus on marketing your product or service. Your benefit to working online is you have virtually no overheads compared to an offline business unless you work from home. To get the most out of your online business you need to have a daily schedule and stick to it. I normally work intensively in hour blocks with about 15-30 minutes breaks within a 10 hour day Mon-Fri. This works well for me. If you're in full-time employment and are trying to run an online business part-time, and your time is limited. If you can spare 1, 2, 3, 4, hours a week on your business or how ever much time you can spare, make them count. I hope this was helpful.

Online or offline depends on personality... some people need to be in a work place for social reasons, let’s face it sitting in front of your screen is not that social... if you have good friends and know how to switch off then online can be the best chance for making an above average income, especially using the power of multi level duplication and social networks. Whichever you choose know this... it’s still work, so get busy, get creative and above all be consistent.

That's like asking which is better - cake or pie? There are definitely advantages to each side. Working online has a much higher income potential (in most cases), but working in the real world means you get a regular, normal paycheck. Online, you have to motivate yourself, but you're free to work on whatever you care about. Offline, there's a built-in system to ensure that work gets done, but sometimes you have to do things you don't like as much.

Online is way better for beginners. Little start up cost, lightening fast implement speed, high profit margins, commuting instead of renting an office. Also hiring people for $3/hr in India. But I would eventually move into offline business because there is so much money there too.

Online, but this is a personal opinion, in what other business you can start with minimal capital, make 100% passive income on autopilot and make more than $10k+ per month hands free when you have all the systems up and running? I don't know an offline business that can do that that a) requires little capital and b) it's 100% passive income on autopilot, so it's your take, but take in consideration that you need to hard work first to get things up and running, but it's definitely not rocket science.

Starting a real world brick & mortar business typically involves massive overhead, eg interior design, pos system, inventory, rent, wages, etc. Often business owners are essentially serfs for the bank, as they pay off a massive loan plus a multitude of "service" charges, and may actually make less real profit (vs cash flow) than their employees.

So, since most people will fail at whatever business they do, they'll usually lose less money at internet-based business (even if they get sucked in by IM scammers)

..and that's exactly why I dread ever having an offline business which doesn't primarily operate online. The profit margin seems to be a lot higher online no matter what you do.
