A quick question on php redirect scripts

Hi,
A quick question on php.
After the redirection, my clickbank nickname appears as a tag to the merchant's domain name. What if my prospect decides to remove the tag?
Will I get the commission?

    Hi there,

The answer is no, they won't get the commission simply by replacing the "?hop=clickbankid" portion of the url with their ClickBank ID.

However, it is certainly an obvious clue to the visitor that the site is managed by ClickBank. So, if they want to "steal" your commission, all they have to do is pop over to CB (or the site's affiliate page), grab their affiliate link and return to the site.

With CB, the last "affiliate" to refer traffic gets paid so this would credit them and not you.

Some merchants code their sites such that the CB ID is dropped off when the visitor hits the site but most do not.

You could fully cloak your affiliate link but I DO NOT recommend it as it is against CB's Terms of Service and may prevent you from getting paid.

    Best,
    Kevin

If they remove the tag after going through your hoplink, you'll still get the commission. If they go through a different hoplink, if they buy after the CB 60 days is up, or if they buy from a different computer, you won't.
