Hi, I am newbie who want to "play" internet marketing.. I started it with amazon affiliate,commonly called as associate-o-matic. Anyone had heard it before? Please tell me more about it. Thanks. GBU

    I just responded to a guy on another post who has been 'affiliate marketing for 8 months' and feels like he's beating his head against the wall. I have no specific response for the 'affiliate-o-matic' program... but I think you're doing the right thinkg to ask.

    Next, you have to consider the source of the answers you get. Beware of shills who will benefit personally from your decision to join a program.

    I would suggest that you research hundreds... no, thousands of this type of opportunity before making a decision to commit your limited time and resources.

    At the end of the day, you should be more knowledgeable what to look out for and better able to determine what is a real online opportunity.

    Secretly, my true goal for you is to learn more about the 'obstacles' to making money online and then to develop some plan to help people overcome those obstacles. Then you will truly have a project you can sink your teeth into.

      Trust me. I'm learning all about these 'shills!' I've been had a couple of times and now am taking off the glossy eyed glasses and doing my due diligent research!

    If you're going to start Internet marketing in my opinion you start affiliate marketing clickbank or can make a website then promote it by different methods after that you see to rolling money .
    by the way direct selling is the best way for earning money .

    I don't know. I think the days of the eBook are dead. But that's just my personal experience. I've ran 3 different sites based on clickbank eBooks. Got both PPC and Organic traffic to them and didn't make one sale.

    My best luck has came from thinking outside the box. Like "dating"... instead of doing straight or concentrating on what I call "white dating" maybe push some latino offers.

    The first thing I would do if I were you is change your mindset. As long as you see yourself "playing" instead of building a business, the only thing you will be earning is play money. Now, that is my personal opinion, but I think a lot of people can testify that a change in your mindset can do a lot in regards to your success.

    I have an Amazon store that sells Hello Kitty Bedding and related stuff. I started this site about 5 months ago and it was pretty easy to set up, but.... I have not made any money yet. I even research keywords and have only 17.000 compeditors for my keyword. Trouble is, the store does not rank well in Googel. I think you could do better by using a blog as the platform. I have not spends to much time on this though. Been bussy creating my first internet marketing info products and setting up my IM blog.

    I like Click Bank and I make money as an affiliate there, blogging, video, listbuilding and so on. If you would like to go in that direction I have a free resource for you. Teaches newbies to do affilliate marketing. Has a good PDF manual and step-by-step videos (how to style). Instant Guru System

    But, it takes time to get into business so no push-button-solution here!

      Whatever you do don't overlook physical products, it's not a bad idea to try somewhere like CB but it can be very competitive, you need to know how to check competition and promote in areas where you have a chance.

      A lot of people can't seem to make decent sales because they don't know how to do that effectively.

      As has already been said, just research and learn a bit about it but don't spend all your time "learning", eventually you just have to get in there and get on with it and see what works,

    Hold it right there,
    You have come to the right place but you need to keep your credit card far away from you!
    You will see all sorts of tips but most will simply drain your pockets. My advise to you would be check out clickbank, and then take your time to read through posts on this forum related to newbies.
    At first you will feel overwhelmed and might even experience "analysis paralysis" but if you work your way slowly, you will eventually start to earn a few "cents...then the real $'s but be prepared - its hard work!

    Anyhow, welcome on board. Am also a newbie and know how it feels being in the "newbie" stage.

      Im a newbie to now before i did my coaching course i was to going arround doing affiliate work making really not much first what i would say is get a coach/mentor in the internet marketing world learn everything from him now im doing a coaching course with alex jefferys its a course called marketing with alex 3.o now before this course i was as i said going arround doing affiliate work making really nothing now with a coach/mentor you learn how to build and run an online marketing business before you star making any money ive been online 6months now the first 5 months i was trying to do everything at once and getting nothing done so with this course i learned how to start building a business and not just going out trying to make money from nothing so i would advise anyone who wants to get into online marketing get a coach/mentor its the best thing ive ever done

    I don't think Amazon is the best way to start. They pay very small comissions.
    Clickbank products a re much easier to sell, and comissions are very hight.
    I assume you have already picked a viable niche, right?. Check if there is any ClickBank product to that niche. And apply whatever system you have to drive trafiic to your site. If you don't have a system yet, start by learning one.
