You keep telling other people asking the same question to use video marketing to promote their products - you're selling a product about that - surely that is the way you should promote your own product?

    nothing to see here.

Are you going to use "pay for" or free methods of marketing your product?

If paying then PPC has quickest response time. If free then set up a blog and get submitting to social networks to get back links to your money site

    Good Luck

        @krish.

how many members needed in a list for successful launch?
I have only 1000+ with 50% click rate in my niche.

If i do adswaps via email list.. is there any chance to decrease conversion rate?

        thanks in advance..

    It depends on your niche.
But, use YouTube, Forums, Blogging, Adwords, Adswaps, SocialMedia and so on....

Do you have a list... start there.

Do you have an affiliate program?

If you had a longer time to set up your launch, you could use the service of: Joint Venture (JV) Lists, Announcements, Blogs, And Community Forums.

I use Click Bank and have not used other programs... Click bank is easy to use, but they are very strict on having all the disclaimer, privacy policies and so on i order. They migh ask you to correct language in your sales page in order for them to approve it. My product went right through, but others have had to change things first. They handel all refunds and that cuts down on support time. This was why I chose them.

You could also use PayPal if you want.

Yes it's possible, but there are a few reasons you may wish to avoid doing that.

Aside from the differences in the refund policies and tax record keeping between ClickBank and PayDotCom (and others) having multiple affiliate processors or payment methods can be a turn-off for many of your potential affiliates. Many affiliates will avoid your product as it's possible that someone will purchase using PayPal or one of the other affiliates links and they won't be credited commissions even after they drive traffic to your page

Just a thought, best of luck with your product.

  • @Bloggers Mind:

Before you start promoting, it would be a good idea
to have some Warriors review (1) your product and (2) your salespage.

While you're at it, also ask for their opinion on things like:
    (3) the order confirmation email message (this is your "stick letter"
and plays an important role in keeping/sticking the sale, preventing
    buyers remorse, and reducing refunds); (4) your pricepoint;
    (5) your offer, including bonuses; (6) your support desk;
    (7) ease of ordering; and (8) product delivery experience.

Definitely make sure you've dotted all i's and crossed all t's
before doing your launch. Even something as simple as
not having a help desk ready, can lead to a customer service
    disaster, and resulting refunds.

Good luck with your new web business!

You can consider to use affiliate elite to find out the super affiliates who are promoting similar products of yours, and then promote your product.

But of course, you need to test whether your product does convey before you "bother" people to promote yours.

    Hope it helps

The easiest way would probably be to type your niche into Google followed by the word ezine.

                Example: Your Niche keyword ezine

You should get a lot of options that way.

                Good luck!

The first thing I would do is Clickbank and some Joint Ventures of some kind. You may be able to find some people on here that wouldn't mind emailing there list for a small profit of any sales.

    Hi Bloggers Mind,

Start from Clickbank to look for good markets and to create your own product. Also, make sure you'll be creating the "hot" one (or in demand nowadays) so you'll get conversions fast but provided that you give them enough and valuable information in your sales page.

    Here's what Clickbank says:

    Common Ways to Promote Products

Follow through these initial steps and you'll not get lost.

    I hope that helps!

I havn't read through the above posts, so I'm pretty sure someone will have said this already.
Why not set up a WSO? That way you an fine tweak any flaws that other Warriors may find. Give a couple of copies to known warriors to review.
Its a good way to start in my opion.
    Good luck anyways.

Form relationships with bloggers who will post about your product. Gather a good solid list of 10+ bloggers in your niche, and pitch it to them, and explain why it would be in their best interest to promote it, and err on the side of a higher commission.

        Bloggers Mind,

Well-established bloggers, who have loyal followings, can give credibility, and gain traction for, your product(s) quite nicely. Bear in mind, however, that you really need to put yourself on a consistent schedule of contributing quality comments to their blogs....eventually, they'll see that you are genuine and sincere, and generally care about the best interest of their blog and readership. This method can be a bit time consuming, but find the right blogger(s) and you can catapult your products off of their pre-established authority and influence....granted, you'd give up an affiliate commission, however, it would be worth it to gain the attention and tap into their readership...

As you bring them on as an affiliate, embed, tons of ways for customers to connect with you and contact you. In fact, at the tail end of every page, of every book I've written (in part, because they are highly technical), I siphon readers to my Facebook page, as one means, of many, to provide the best support to them. Before you know it, your product and brand can be established really quite nicely through a blogger's audience. It takes some work....but, also, in your eBooks, provide a link at the end encouraging people to sign up for your email list if they'd like to read more of your work or products, and be updated on future releases.

Not to mention....survey the social media outlets these bloggers have set up. One blogger that became quite an ally of mine, now boasts of a Facebook fan page of almost 2,000 very responsive fans....AND....a Twitter page of over 40,000+ followers....forming these strategic relationships can be TREMENDOUSLY rewarding in the long (and short) run, and are well worth the time to simply provide high quality content and quality to their blogs. You help them, and they will recognize and help you.

....and, another reason to survey the extent of their online influence is...because....when it is finally time to launch your product, they may utilize their list AND social media outlets to promote it. I'd highly recommend nurturing and fostering these relationships, with several bloggers, throughout the entire process of product development. Keep them abreast of your product development, and you can even tell them how things they have taught their audience have been used by you to make your product better. Write product development status updates, and show them to them....stay motivated and excited about your work, and keep them "involved" and abreast of your progress.

When time comes to launch, they may actually feel a bit 'connected' to your product....familiar with it....trusting of you....and willing to blast it out with 110% confidence that their audience will like it, benefit from it, and see the value in it. A good product, recommended by a blogger, can also work wonders in helping to nurture and foster a relationship with their own audience. If they recommend a product whole-heartedly, and their audience likes it, their audience will be more inclined to buy from them again and take their recommendations....by helping a blogger develop themselves, and their brand, you can do really quite well launching your products through them, and using them and your product, to develop your own audience and following as an authority.

            hai x3xsolxdierx3x,

I've learned quickly that, if you work in the best interest of others, they will (eventually...hopefully), work in your best interest. By doing those things you mentioned above, to help gain for their blog even greater traction, they should take notice....especially if you KNOW what you are talking to, and help contribute to an even greater environment for their readers.

One interesting thing you can do is develop a "bonus" for whatever your product is, and integrate the bloggers you have selected as "resources" that you'll feature in your bonus. Bloggers generally like to see the link to their blog get "out there" however possible....and, a complementary "resource" guide, to your product, can really go a long way. Simply include the blogs of all those who you have formed a relationship with, along with an explanation of why people should visit those blogs. (I know all this is dependent on the topic of your eBook or course...some may not lend to a "resource" guide bonus....)

              hope that made sense....

....Another thing you can do is to simply figure out how to do something that would save them serious time, and present it to them with no strings attached. Research something that their readers may find interesting and valuable....give your data to them....trust me, they'll take notice of you. I've done ALL these things before....

Reading the last few posts all provide constructive help & I think if you can use a combination of social media along with interjection from bloggers you should be fine. You can't go wrong with clickbank either.

  • @x3xsolxdierx3x:

You offer some good advice in your posts.
I'm considering doing a blog/tweet campaign to promote
www.streetmagicvideos.com including paid tweets & vlog posts.
Would you mind taking a quick look at my campaign before I launch?

To most everyone who has posted here, shame on you.

With all due respect, you guys are like a child with a chemistry set.
(who thinks he's got enough knowledge but winds up blowing himself up)

You're all giving the OP little tidbits of marketing to-do's,
various tactics that you yourselves might be comfortable with...

...but I am absolutely floored that nobody is telling the OP
      to put the brakes on
, and take care of the items that
      must be done BEFORE
he does one iota of marketing.

Have any of you advice-givers actually reviewed the OP's salespage?
Or his offer? You're telling him to invest in solos and Adwords
but without even seeing if his page might convert worth a damn.

OP, before doing ANY marketing whatsoever,
you absolutely positively must do the 9 items
I posted the other day. Here it is again:

OP, if you do not, then you are setting yourself up for guaranteed failure.

Do those items, then get yourself a decent marketing course.

His thread title (and question) were about how he should promote his product. Yes, there are many elements involved in a (successful) product launch, many of which 'should' be done simultaneously.

Your "marketing", and some of the advice gave involved around developing and fostering relationships, should be a dynamic process that is done throughout, not really as a "next step" sort of mentality. Promotion should be done throughout, WHILE you are addressing your sales copy and actually developing your product.

During every phase of my product development, I injected carefully worded "status" updates on a product that I KNEW my audience wanted. Granted, my sales copy was, admittedly, just a little lacking....but, with those status updates, I built interest and essentially developed relationships in anticipation for launch. Some may have read my sales copies, others didn't....both valued how I approached the launch and it sold (is selling) VERY well.

I do agree with your points of consideration and advice. One should definitely have their sales' copy reviewed, and all the other elements that you mentioned.

There are a bunch of different ways you can do this. A wise person told me once, it is all in the list. Send out a promotional email.
    Hook up with bloggers.
Put the product on click bank.
    Start with one or all.

    Good luck!

Nice idea. I will try to implement it.. but i want to know how much it costs and which press release site to submit my product?

      One more thing..

      Are you Howie?..

I love your comments always in SPI I'm a regular reader of SPI since past one year. But I occasionally leave comments in SPI. I got spark to launch a product after reading SPI's How to test market even before creating a product..

I read about your product on SPI reviewed by PAT. Nice...

        Bloggers Mind,

I was in a bit of a unique situation, based on some things I did, where I actually got free press release services....the owner of the company that I wrote my course about actually owns a PR service, and, because I structured the product to be extremely helpful and useful to his website itself, it made the most sense for him to offer me a free service....

I really don't have experience paying for PRs....I'm sure a simple Google search would uncover some pricing for different services.

Pat is great, I agree, as well! I've been following his blog for quite some time and would HIGHLY recommend it to others.

Submit your products to affiliate networks such as Clickbank, PayDotCom
    and Commission Junction.

Make sure to announce it on the JV forums and create a compelling
reason for other marketers to promote it... Maybe give away 100%
commission or offer reciprocal promotions to top affiliates...

Also, as someone mentioned, use JVNotifyPro service to announce your
launch to thousands of members in that wonderful JV community.

This will get you enough affiliates to start with.

One thing I have found to be VERY beneficial in launching a product is to provide occasional status updates to potential customers. When spending 5-6 months writing and developing my first product, I posted up to 18 status updates for potential customers to read, internally to the platform I wrote my course about. The benefit to do this is:

      1) You gain exposure to yourself, your personal brand, and you pave the way for familiarization of yourself and your writing potential (because people are actually reading your writing in your 'status updates')

      2) People value transparency, nowadays, and by displaying your progress, and thought process, every step of the way, you develop a powerful trust with your audience. They can "see" as your project progresses, and they can learn from you as you encounter hurdles....and, can see how it develops...and, they can see how you address problems.

      3) You actively engage them in the project that is your product. You can ask for feedback every step of the way, in your status updates, and you can gain great invaluable insight into what they would actually want to see.....thus helping you create a better product that best addresses their needs. You may THINK you know everything about your market, but, it's truly best to ask your market what they think themselves.....

There is some downside to the approach, however:

      1) If you pour your heart into these updates, it CAN be a very time consuming process.

      2) Unless you already have other mechanisms in place, there will probably be very little monetary return, leading up to launch. Your status updates would be primarily for maintaining the transparency that many value...

      3) For mine, I MAY have drug out these status updates too long....some people don't want to hear, for months, how your product is progressing....if they are interested, they'd probably only want to hear about it 2 or 3 times, then they would WANT the product there and then. Don't drag it out (like I did...lol)
