Is Hubpages a asset to getting traffic

will hubpages work getting traffic to my site or just traffic to my affiliate links in the hubpage itself.

    Hubpages is a whole community in itself. They get great SEO rankings because they are so strict with their content system. I would not bother with it unless you have great content and are willing to put some time into becoming part of the community.

    If you do, I think it can result in a lot of traffic coming back to you.

    Sure you can...there are several other communities like hubpages...especially squidoo. it worked very well for me.

    You can use HubPages to get traffic to your site, William, but there are MANY uses for authority sites in a much larger online strategy. I would recommend that you use several websites in conjunction with HubPages....

    Have you begun submitting content to HubPages yet?

    If used the right way, HubPages can bring a ton of traffic to your sites.

    (Note: You would want to rather capture the visitors than send them away forever...)

    I have only a handful of hubs but get lots of traffic from them. They're worth spending a little time on to get right, the interface is quite simple to use as well.

    Also I've found they seem to be very responsive to boosting with a few low quality backlinks in my experience.

    Keeping your Hubscore over 75 is a pain, but if you promote your Hubs and update occasionally usually stays above that level. I've really not done that much with them but my best hub gets about 4000 visitors a month which isn't bad. I get a pretty high proportion clicking through to my web site as well, although never sent them direct through affiliate links.

    I also get a lot of traffic from HubPages. It comes mostly from the hubs ranking high in the SERPS.

    I've been checking out Hubpages, but have been having trouble figuring out how to get a link to my site.

    It looks like all the links go to another hubpage. How do you link to your exterior site?

    Hubpage will work with getting traffic to your site in two ways:

    1. Proper seo of your content and good backlinks

    2. Contributing to the community of hubpages buy commenting, joining groups etc.

      Yes, that is correct. While their revenue share is a bit lacking (compared to others), the owner had the forsight enough to build a website and essentially being one of the 'first-out-the-gate'....this is exactly why he was able to establish his site with such great interest and search engine authority.

      No site is perfect, and with my ever critical and skeptical approach, based on detailed analysis and research, I do think that, while HubPages is one of the BEST sites available online today, it still needs a little work in certain areas....Like Squidoo, it also leaves a big gap in the revenue share department (compared to other websites). With time, it MAY need to increase the revenue share % it allocates to writers in order to remain competitive.
