I have a domain that I brought through godaddy about a year ago but now I want to build a blog at hostgator using that domain. How do I point that domain to my hostgator account?

    ns2.hostgator.com

Go into your godaddy account and click on the domain that you bought. Then up at the top, you'll see a tab that says "name servers". Click on that and it will give you 4 options. Select the last option that says something like "I have specific nameservers for this domain". Then at the bottom you will see two nameservers. Something like ns.143.godaddy.

Hostgator will have given you two nameservers when you bought hosting through them. Change the two that are over at godaddy with the two that hostgator gave you and hit the "ok" button.

Give it a couple minutes and your all set. You just need to add on the domain over at your hostgator account and upload the blog through the fantastico platform.
