Thinking About Subscription Website

Hi everyone,

For anyone who is in Canada, how are you guys enjoying the long weekend? Its super sunny here (25+ degrees), with no wind, smog or anything, an amazing weekend all around.

Nonetheless, I read the book that Mr. Says has, and a few other books about subscription websites and I was thinking of starting one. I read tons of books that suggest that AT LEAST for the next 10 years subscription websites will be a hit, so I defiantly want to jump on this bandwagon for money, fame and whatever else might be the reason.

Now I want to do it once, but take a lot of time and do it right! So what I have done is downloaded a really awesome MINDMAP program that will help me decide into what field I should get into.

So this is what I'm wondering....
• Some books say find what you're passionate about and do the subscription site around that
• Other books say FIRST find the market and then find whats in demand for them

Or something like that. So what should I do? I got the mindmap program and will brainstorm what I'm interested in, but how can I choose onto what I should get into that will make me money or whatever?

Sorry for the long message, just not sure where else to turn

Look for a VERY HUNGRY or STARVING crowd, and then match the niche to them.

      Hi,

Can I debate you for a second here? (if you'd even call it a debate).
What if I am totally clueless about the topic and have no passion about it? Let's say there is a hungry market for taxidermy, but I am not interested in it at all.. what do I do?

      Hi example123,

Even though you are not passionate about a niche (though it helps if you are), there are ways to research the topic so that you appear knowledgeable enough to create a subscription type website.
