Search Google for Specific HTML?

Is there a way to search Google or Yahoo for HTML that's on a page?

I thought I remember someone saying quite a while ago that you could find someone's clickbank username and some how search Google for their username and find out everything they're promoting.

That's not what I want to do with it but I figure it would be a similar function.

Thanks for any suggestions.

  • Google does not have an advanced operator that allows you to search for HTML tags used within the source of the web pages. However, you could use the "intext" operator to search for occurrences of a particular keyword phrase within the actual contents of the page.

    E.g. intext:"<your keyword>"

Thanks, but I don't want to search for text on a page I want to search for the html in the backend.

I wouldn't be using it for keyword research or anything like that.
