EZA has brought me a ton of traffic and has only rejected one of 600+ of my articles; I honestly don't know why everyone hates them so much.

  I've heard this issue too >.> So should a writer-hopeful even try with EZA or stick mainly to private commissions and contracts? One would like to think quality would win over, but bills have to be paid nonetheless whether it's quality or quantity =/

You can't deny the fact that there are not pieces of crap only at EZA. You can get a lot of sound info on various topics as well.
It really pains me to read such crappy material but you can not stop the world and at the same time you can not even generalize the thing.

Funny that they won't accept cigarette articles, but my wine related stuff is just fine.

Yes, many of the top viewed articles haven't actually been viewed by many humans, but to say the Ezine is a giant dump is pretty short sighted. Plenty of people get good SEO results and sales from posting articles there.

Shouldn't you be reverse enginering their marketing strategy and using it yourself? obviously if they have a crappy spun article in the top but then spent the time to get it as the most viewed then it's making them money right? (check their other articles too first).

So do the same and make some money too

Couldn't you be backward enginering their marketing system and using it yourself? clearly if they have a crappy twisted article in the top but then spent the time to get it as the most looked at then it's making them moolah correct? (check their other reports too first).

Don't really look at the visits, rather not have them rank as they may compete against my money sites then. They seem to still be good backlinks though.

You know there's crap on almost all article directories thanks to the proliferation of crappy article spinners. I wouldn't worry about them too much cause Google rarely ranks them.

For those who think that EZA somehow spends money to promote the top viewed, well you're just wrong. All they are doing is counting the number of times a link is clicked. You can go to MTurk and pay between a penny or two to have a human do that for you.

I've always had articles in the top ten in my niche but I can't say that the number of views was a result of being in the top 10. And the CTR isn't any different.

So EZA probably isn't making any money off Adense from those citizens of the third world who are making a penny to click on the link and odds are the black hat isn't faring too well either.

I just like complaining because EZA likes to kick back articles that "Don't fulfill the promise of the title" and then I *try* to read those articles and wonder how it fulfills the promise of being english, let alone whatever the title said
