ok im by no means blasting Frank. I love what he does and the information ive gotten from the guy has helped tons but.....

I received an email from him today that linked to a very informative pdf on traffic methods. and once again thank you Frank Kern!

Now I have heard Frank on more than one occasion boast that he is the highest paid copywriter in the world. So I had to chuckle a little while i was counting the spelling and grammar errors in his PDF.

I misspell things all the time so i was encouraged today reading this PDF from Frank.

I too may one day be the highest paid copywriter in the world.

Im Off to a great start I know for a fact that im the highest paid copywriter in Albion Nebraska

Any Way Franks Stuff Is Awesome and he one of only three "gurus" I sub to. I just thought it was funny is all.

You'd be surprised; I'd bought writing courses that had a typo or error on every page. Just have your spouse read it or something, drives me nuts :-)

Jonathan, that's weird you posted in this thread because I was just going to post about the time you told me years ago about XXXXXXX's new product release...

You said it was converting so well that when he discovered spelling mistakes a couple days after it was launched that he was afraid to correct them because of the possibility that they may actually be contributing to his conversion rate.

      I never forgot that...

First: There's potential benefit to not coming across as too slick and polished.

Second: Never take for granted that ANY change you make to a sales letter (even fixing errors) won't accidentally hurt response.

(And yes, I replaced his name with X's, I'm not one to tell tales out of school without permission.)

Typos done right can boost response. Obviously don't do them if you're writing as an expert (doctor or such). they make your letter seem less plastic when done right.

I do not agree with this. I often use slang and the proverbial dot dot dot, but I do not see any value in strategically placed typos.

More people with Hashimoto's disease spell it wrong than spell it right. If you do not have it spelled wrong on your page, you will not rank for over 50% of people that have it (and therefore more likely to Google it). So even for a doctor, spelling things wrong on purpose has it's advantages.

the one thing about Franks PDF today was I guess in A way when reading things from him i always get a sense that it was written by a friend just for me.
i hope one day I can master that skill.

Don't speak too soon. This thread already has over a dozen responses. Maybe Frank is on to something.

He does indeed get a lot of other people to do his copy.

My guess is Frank outsources his product creation... emails... and pretty much everything else, too.

The only funny observation I made of that report was that it was basically just a puffed up version of Dan Kennedy's work.

I believe that I heard Frank address this issue awhile back. He said that it actually helps you connect with most people when you have minor errors and mistakes. It makes people feel like you want them to feel, that I'm just like you...

Believe me, there are a lot of people out there that aren't good at spelling and grammar than there are people that write like an English teacher.

The only way to have it eror free is to have someone else to proof read it. So to leave accidental errors on purpose is simply to write the best you can, and drop the proof reading? right?

And by the way, I agree that most likely Frank has bought this thread and is up to something again. Very suspicious in deed.

Frank Kern. God bless him. As a person who struggles with Dyslexia myself... Frank little spelling and grammar errors help me feel as if I'm not alone. If anything they help me feel a since of connection with the guy.

I have studied NLP and Hypnosis for a little over 10 years now. I know Frank Kern, Eben Pagan and Jason Moffatt use the stuff all the time. Seeing as I struggle with language I wouldn't probably be the one to look at this but I some times wonder if Frank is actually slipping some of these "mistakes" in to imphosis certain words like in "anologe marketing."

Eben him self was a long time student of Ross Jeffries the creator of Speed Seduction befor starting Double Your Dating. And... I know Eben uses NLP all the time.

Maybe he does it on purpose, after all this thread wouldn't have started without the typos and I'll bet loads of people are reading this and saying .... "who's Frank Kern?"

For all the people saying that Frank probably does this on purpose, maybe he does.

But I also remember hearing him say once that he found it funny how when he does something like make spelling mistakes... that people immediately start thinking "oooh, Frank does it on purpose so it makes him more 'normal' like us..." and he said that he really didn't make the mistakes on purpose.

People just read way too much into it.

But, saying that... for all the people that do read into it too much, it probably does have that exact effect.

BTW. I said this as a joke LOL. Or perhaps he paid me too?

Of course it is not on purpose. one can read almost anything into anything. That is probably the power of "reputation". people will always speak about you whatever you do.
he is just doing his things as usual and other people are busy analyzing it. As we are now. I just joined in for fun.....
