I think he is referring to the amount of views the rules thread has received. I also found out this stat a few weeks ago, suprising really, but this is probably the only site I have ever read the rules on.

Perhaps it's time for a WF "Write You Own Rules Week". Every Warrior contributes by writing the rules that they would like applied to the forum.

At the end of the allotted week everyone submits their suggestions (together at a pre set time). That action (from the hardware standpoint) would give exercise and stimulus to the forum servers, keeping them fit and healthy - to the benefit of us all.

As to the rules issue - we might even encounter suggestions for some new rules that none of us has thought of to date!

Such a venture would give admin and mods something stimulating to do too - as they must find it tedious patrolling the WF 24/7 and having to relate back to and enforce the same rules, time after time.

Heck my innovation sometimes surprises even me

      Just my thoughts

Unless you have some kind of magical power, you wouldn't know what the rules are so we can't exactly say that everyone is following the rules if they haven't read them.

Let's post the rules in the War Room, so only members can read them.

That way, when people don't join the War Room for months, we can just randomly ban them for any reason at all and say "you should have read the rules."

fryerben, I'm sure LMC was just messing with us all.

theperfectstrategy, Read um, learn um and most important, Know where to find um!
They could/can and may change over time.

Ron, The rule wouldn't effect the good things you might say about me but
it's always better to be safe than sorry! Oh, We(my wife and I) will be
having Cyclone Pasta tomorrow for dinner. We're on page 160 and plan to
finish the book before the end of the summer! Then we can Hibernate for
    the winter...lol Good Stuff!

Becky, I didn't want to turn the thread into a statistics discussion so I
stated less than 1/4 to give me some room for error!

Fernando, There is still the OT forum!

Dan, Delta223 seems to have a different opinion!

MarkAse, That's the biggest part of the problem other than they just don't
    give a rats arse.

John, True. Most of the old timers knew the rules although they have been
updated since and people forget to check every now and again to make
    sure they are still compliant.

    Caliban,
I concur as I know I've read them more that 50+ times in the past...lol
If you think about it. There may be just a hand full that have actually even
    seen them including the updates???

After some deep thoughts and shallow consideration, I'm thinking it's not whether or not people have read the rules, it's how they interpret the rules.

For example, the rules say that your signature file can only be in one color and that color must be black (excepting links).

Some people read that and interpret that to mean that they can only use black in their signature file.

Other people read that and interpret that to mean that they can only use green in their signature file because green is the new black.

Written rules don't mean what they say; they mean what we want them to say. At least, that's what I've learned in my observations of politics.
