Hi,

I don't know about others but this forum is so large it sometimes hogs my system so I use word and copy and paste into it and I find it quicker reading and I can also press page up/down or back to home easily and I feel its faster.

    WTH are you talking about?

You need to upgrade your PC if that's the case.

You cut and paste an entire thread into Word, so you can read it more quickly? What?

Ha ha ha, your PC must be pretty slow. It's definitely
NOT the forum, but your PC. So, yes, perhaps it's time
    to upgrade,

hahahaahaha, that is crazy! Copying and pasting the forum into word to read?!?! You must have some serious viruses going on or just a really old system...

Well, I suppose copying and pasting is cheaper....

I would really look at what you are doing. The forum is fast it is definitely your system or you are trying to run too much at one time. Many browsers are hogs in general and they hog more and more the longer you have them running. Try restarting the browser by closing ALL windows. then come visit WF.

Also you can use page up/down or back to home in the browser just fine.

IMO you are not using your time effectively. Work on your system or your practices.

Dude I think you have some serious malware or virus on your computer.

EDIT: But TBH, I don't really know what are you talking about. I have used Warrior Forum from a computer manufactured in 1998 (yup, 12 years ago) and it worked fast as hell. I'm seriously confused just these people right here

Don't let the haters get you down. I agree: the forum is just too slow.

I take screenshots of the forum and read them in Photoshop.

His best bet may be to download and install Ms-DOS
Here's what Brothersoft has to say about this perennial program that will never die.

Ms-DOS is still very useful. In addition to the many features of its own, DOS could also solve a lot of problems that can not be solved in Windows and other system.

If he can't solve the slow problem... BAM! Ms-DOS to the rescue...

It *must* be something on your side. I have over 4 or 5 tabs of warriorforum open at one time among about 20-30 tabs and rarely experience any slowdown.

However, I have noticed sometimes it is just hanging on a refresh or when I access PM sometimes.

I'd do a virus scan and maybe try disabling any plugins/extensions if you have any activated. Could be that.

I do the same thing. Except I take the extra step of sending the text to my voice-over artist, who turns the text file into an MP3 file.

When I want to reply to a thread, I record my own audio file and send this MP3 to my transcriptionist. She transcribes it to a text file and sends it back to me. I then copy and paste this text file into the reply window. If I'm having a busy day, I pay her extra to do the copying and pasting for me.

    Cheers,
    Becky

I'm scratching all thoughts of Ms-DOS and upgrading to your voice over system.

      @ Braveheart2009 - are you still there?

We're going to help, but as you can see, sometimes that funny bone needs to be well uh... scratched...

You know what, you are missing something important on your browser. If you use this important feature, then you are going to solve your problem andd shall not have to copy-paste into your computer (unless you are paying for your Internet connection per minute, in which case it becomes a cost issue rather than issue of feasibility of search).

    The feature is called: Bookmarking.

Find out whether you have an option in your browser such as "add to favorites" or "bookmark this page" or something of the likes.

Then, when you come to the page you like, just use this feature. Believe me, it is going to help you.

And if you are paying per minute and hence remaining connected to the Internet is an issue (since you have to remain connected if you want to read and also read productively so keep on browsing while reading), then you may think of pasting into a notepad or actually upgrade your Internet connection to a pay-for-data-volume schemes.

Did this help? Looking forward to receive an acknowledgement whether my suggestion helped in solving your problem.

Got no problem with the forum's speed. But I did notice that when loading slows down that my internet connection is usually at fault.

To make things easier for me, I hired 100 people to open threads for me. I rented out some warehouse space and got 100 cheap PCs and hired 100 people, most of which are probably here legally. The warehouse only has a single phone line running in, but we're using a lan modem so everyone can get on the Internet. Anyway, they each open a different thread for me, and raise their hands when it's finished loading. Then, I use a Segway to go from computer to computer to read the threads.

The multi-page threads are an issue, because I have to move on to the next computer & thread while that next page loads, so sometimes I lose my train of thought.

In fact, I'm not really sure to which thread I am replying right now.
