Offliners - Help Please

Hello Offline Warriors,

I urgently need some help.I am thinking to get engaged with a firm who is providing web-desiging and web-developing services in other country, where i was currently on visit.I have offered them to work as an SEO and Internet Marketing Person(PPC etc)...

They have simply asked me to send them the proposal...As, i'll be working independently there as an SEO and IM Guy as they know nothing about all of these things...I was planning to start my own practise there first but i dont have resources currently. So, have decided to partner with someone else.

I am unsure about what kind of PROPOSAL should i send them...

As an employee (on salary basis)? or As a Partner on Profit Sharing basis???
And what kind of terms and conditions should i set?
+ Any other suggestions & Opinions???

Pleaseeeeeeeee reply me soon as i have to reply them URGENTLY.......
Thanks

Can you explain in a little more detail:

    # What this company does. Where are their clients coming from.

    # What it is you'll be doing for them.

    # What kind of deal you want.

    Kindest regards,
    Andrew Cavanagh

Thanks Andrew Cavanagh for your response,

#- This company is providing Web-development and Web-Designing Services. They know nothing about Online Marketing,SEO etc.I have persuaded them to provide SEO+Internet Marketing services as an add on to their core activities to companies approaching them for web development. So, they asked me for proposal...

There clients belongs to various industries...Any company who needs a website...I have checked they develop basic websites without SEO(As, they dont know what the heck it is...)

#-I'll be responsible for SEO and Online Marketing through Various Means like PPC etc...I want to keep it simple,initially...I might have to find out my own clients for this purpose(Mostly RElated to Services Industries)...

#- I just want to use them as a plateform for taking a start in that new country...So, i want to know what kind of deal should i make with them???

      They have asked for Proposal...

So, kindly do let me know, whether should i fix a deal, as an employee or as an partner???And on what terms???

      Thanks once again

I would go on commisssion per contract basis, neither employee nor profit sharing. That way you are not bound.

A web designing company that knows nothing about SEO??? I'm confused as to what their competitive advantage is when trying to sell their services. I supposed they promise a really pretty website... or something along those lines.

It sounds like you can add a lot of experience to their operation so negotiate a flat fee for each project and a monthly retainer based on your results for their customers

I suggest you work on a consultancy basis. When they have a client/website that needs SEO work, you submit a quote for the work and then invoice them.

Or, to put it another way, treat this company as a client. In time, you might pick up other clients too.

I would be a little dubious about any company that allegedly does web design and doesn't know about SEO/SEM.

I would do it on a contract basis per deal. Nothing long-term until you decide if you want to continue the relationship.
