If someone is in there tinkering with the php files and they @#$% something up because they didn't know what they were doing I have no sympathy for them.

I disagree... but I can see why you would say that... when you save the file in the editor, the page reloads to the place where the code was modified, so it's easy to put it back the way it was (this is a new feature in one of the latest WP updates). Failing that, you should copy the entire code to the clipboard before experimenting so all you have to do is [CTRL]+V to restore it.

I'm glad I'm not the only one.

That's what I've been thinking since the this was posted.

However the original poster needs to understand that they DO NOT have the right to reprint ANYTHING here without the permission of EVERY SINGLE PERSON who made a post in this thread.

In fact, I WILL be watching closely, and am ready to take any necessary action.

      We're not idiots.

That's assuming the worst, of course.

I will give the OP the benefit of the doubt, but not at the cost of apathy or complacency.

So, Fairuz now knows the potential problems of reprinting anything others have written. Let's hope for the best...that he posted for the right reasons and is really trying to help.

Why should you be using WordPress?

There are very few publishing platforms if any that provide you with centralized administration like you might see on a Windows Server Network.

WordPress provides this in their nearly complete WordPress 3.0. They allow you to use a single copy of plugins, themes, core code, etc. to run multiple sites through WordPress MultiSite (not to be confused with WordPress MU).

This allows you to update the core code, plugins, themes, etc. in a single event instead of having to do a repetitive update process across multiple sites. This is a huge time saver.

Want more info on MultiSite? Go to WordPress.tv. It is explained in simple terms in the WordCamp 2010 videos.
