Scenario - Day 1: New to IM. What to do.

I'm desperately seeking some guidance here. If you can provide any useful remarks, recommendations, suggestions, please do.

My deal is this... IF this were Day 1 of your new life as a PT or FT IM, what would you be doing? Where would you start?

I've created a CB account but that damned marketplace has kicked my butt! So-o-o many products... I'm the deer mesmerized by the car's headlights.

Kind regards.

If you are looking at CB prodcts then I'm assuming you have not established a niche you want to be in and you don't have your own product to sell. May be a good idea to look into affiliate marketing to start and then get into product creation.

Affiliate marketing is the easiest way to get started if you don't have much experience and you don't have to just look at Clickbank, you can find less competitive niches selling physical products that can be quite easy to get into,

No niche chosen, no product/article complete yet, but have found much of my attempts at Affili8 mktg completely frustrating. ...and the little light goes on... maybe its because I hvn't chosen a niche mrkt!

      Thanks MMG!

First read the reports from other successful IMs. Then plan your own marketing strategy and move ahead.

    Hey Ton

I would sit down an write down a plan. What you want from IM and what you want personally what you want to learn. There is a post on my blog all about it called internet marketing basics taking the first step forward

The Plan... Plan.... Plan.... Plan .... If you lack one, don't start. I made my first 2 sites without planning. I ended up jumping to anything from implementing what i google in internet marketing to wanting to delete the site because i did not look into what to expect at different stages of IM. Later i had to go back to the drawing board to draft a plan to strictly follow along. The plan cushions you from being tossed here and there. Thanks Glyn for Letting this out. PLAN.

"If you fail to plan, then you are planning to fail". really, all you got to do if you are a newbie is to have a plan first. do some research and know what your subject of interest is. If you're looking at CB, you might want to start being an affiliate first, study how affiliate marketing works. Take it one step at a time, if you earn enough money through affiliate marketing, reinvest your money to create your first product and submit it to CB as well. When you're at that stage already, you can now recruit affiliates to help you promote your products. Just take it easy.

        cheers.

I agree 100%! Thanks to all of the shiny IM offers, I lost all focus and took my eyes off of the tried and true bplan.

        Thanks deliverer!

The first day should be to setup a squeeze page and start collecting emails. The next 364 days send traffic to that squeeze page.

    Its as simple as that.

Plan for a business not for just making some bucks... otherwise you'll never have a minute to rest, because as soon as you stop money will stop also.

Run a business and you can go in vacations...

    Cheers

    Hi,
Just a quick warning. Just beware of all those companies that will contact you to offer you training for thousands.
I started with "The Affiliate Classroom". They offer over 250 lectures and a 2 week free trial period. during that period you can access as many classess as you like.

    Just google it.

    Good luck and Welcome!
