INTERNET MARKETING

To get into the admin side of a blog when you don't know the password.

I couldn't remember mine on one of my blogs so reset it and it hasn't dropped down to my email account for some reason :confused:

Resubmit password request. Check you spam email. Call customer service.

Hi Kim,

I don't know the answer to your question, but I might offer a suggestion. I had a similar problem with my Wordpress blog. What I did was I got ahold of my hosting provider's support (Hostgator) by the online chat build into their homepage and they were able to retrieve it for me (or they reset it... I can't remember).

If I remember rightly it's a string of unidentifiable gumph in the database (access via cpanel and phpMyAdmin) in the wp_users table. Just put another password in (in plain English), save as MD5 from the drop-down list next to it and it will be converted to the appropriate unidentifiable gumph. You can then log in to your admin using the new password you've just created.
