Do all those "pinging" softwares work?

Hi,
A week ago, I purchased one of those pinging software packages available on clickbank.
I've been using it for a couple of days. It's nice because after each session it collects urls that you can use for your next submission. It also comes with a domain grabber to pick thousands of urls in your niche.

Have you guys ever used them? do they really work as they say? no "massive traffic explosion yet"...

    Well, there are only so many places that you can "ping" a site to and pingomatic covers 99% of them, so you don't really need a software for that.

    Some software programs are nice because you can harvest (store) a lot of your urls to ping all at once, but you can easily save all your urls to your browsers toolbar and just click 'open all in tabs' to accomplish the same thing whenever you want to ping them.

    they really come in use when you have a lot of backlinks that Google hasnt counted yet... u can ping them
