I think i have enough knowledge to get started.
The only thing im not sure about is: What do i do with my website?
The thing i need to know is if i should just put up some short info about the product and then link to the product creators webpage with my affiliate link? or what do i do?

Thanks in advance.

Just take some time to think about what you want to do, preferably you will be interested about the product/s you want to sell so you could start up a blog?

Make a website about a hobby of yours or something you like then find a product to promote from that niche.

Just sit down and think for a while

That's a pretty simple way of putting it and that's the basic idea, but as I'm sure you'll find out along the way there can be a lot more to it and a lot more to learn.

      Just hang in there!

      Best of luck,

Think about it from the perspective of your product's perfect customer. How do they go from searching the Internet to buying that product. Put yourself in that customers mind and talk out what is in their head. Then see where the surfing takes you and figure out why it took you there.

Then worry about how to get that product in front of that persons eyes at that exact moment they need it.

It's going to be different for each niche.
I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.

Try putting up a wordpress blog first. Use this to create a relationship with your potential customers. Put up three to four blog posts at first with great, useful info pertaining to the product you are promoting.

Then in one of the posts, let them know that you tried product "xyz" tell them how great it worked for you. You need to make them trust you and then recommend the product. Don't try to sell it directly.

      Best of luck to you!

Create a blog and post informative article relating to your product. Next, you need to start marketing your product. A long the line, you will learn a lot of things and do any necessary modification.

I recommend you use your website to start
a blog, which you can monetize to drive traffic.

As soon as you learn how to consistently pump
in the traffic, create a squeeze page and monetize
all that flow, than as soon as you start building a list-build trust
with your list and promote genuinely useful products to them.

  • Hi Izerman,
provide valuable content with your website, because that's what people are searching for.

So give them information about your niche or product, write a review and/or offer a free gift such as a free report/ebook related to your niche/product.

I agree... and here is a simple step by step plan:

      1) Set up a blog on your website. Try to solve a problem in a particular niche and provide answers to that problem on your specific niche. Give as much valuable content as possible. It will keep your targeted visitors coming back to your site.

      2) Monetize your blog.

      3) Then next step, focus on driving traffic to your website. If you want to automate your traffic, there is a free software called Traffic Turbo Elite which will generate traffic to your website easily and quickly.

      Hope this helps!

Definitely try and build a list of prospects. That way you can continue to try and sell to them again if they don't buy on the first visit.

Also if that product doesn't convert well you can sell them something else.

Izerman, there are many things that you can do. Indeed you can create a website, yet I do not see how with just a product you will be able to create an entire site. I think that you are better off creating a blog or a Splash/Squeeze page with a Sales copy and your affiliate link. You have definitely started on the right foot. For most beginners it is much easier to start with affiliate or referral programs because they require minimal investment, except for the promotional one.

Once you create this sales page you can submit it to traffic exchange sites, create banner ads, and even purchase an email marketing campaign. Just remember that whichever method you choose, you MUST include your affiliate link, otherwise you will not receive the commission or credit if there is a sale.

If you do create a blog you may want to optimize it using SEO tactics. All the while keeping in mind that you MUST always include your affiliate link. One of the most popular techniques is article writing and submission. You can write articles about the product you are selling, using the chosen keywords. Balance the article out with information and KWs. Submit these articles to directories and place your information in the source box.

Remember, that NOT every single marketing technique works for everyone and every niche exactly the same. In addition, the way you write your Ad copy has a lot to do with it, so be creative, compelling, concise, and captivating.

There are three things which you can actually do with your website... to be successful in that.. you have to build content which is genuine enough
    1. Adsense - making money through google ads
    2. Affiliate Marketing.. you can promote a product of third party on your website and if it turns int a sale you earn.
    3. Sell your website once its big..

Go BIG or go home you wont be able to make any sales.

Traffic = conversions and content = traffic

You need to spend time SEOing your site that means keywords blogging and research

Blogging is just an option but it helps if you want traffic you got to provide people with the goods.

My advice is to decide who your target market is. Give away a freebie in exchange for their name and email address, get an autoresponder account and do email marketing. Send them to your site in an email message telling them how your product can help solve their problem. They will get to know you and trust you. Then you cna sell them and they will buy.

Enough of worries friend. There are many ways on what to do with your website. First, think about a niche that fits to your personality or that really interest you. If you have products to sell, do it on your website by promoting it. Make great article to attract visitors. The rest will follow when you set-up your website according to what you want.
