Google, Admob and Mobile Marketing

Official Google Blog: We’ve officially acquired AdMob!

I'm not sure if this has been discussed here yet today - just checked a few pages and didn't find too much. But it is something I find very interesting, especially in light of some of the recent discussions on mobile marketing opportunities.

    yes, mobile marketing could be a huge net big step, call it MIM, LOL,

    But yes, it is a big deal, and I can tell you as an apple developer, that there are all kinds of really, (and I really mean, Exciting opportunities) cool opportunities.

    Just think about the ipad, with nearly 750, thousand units in production and more on the way world wide, it is huge...

    Yes mobile marketing is the next big thing, it is amazing how apple buys IAD4 and Google acquires ad-mob and there is not more on this. But I think anyone is afraid of change. The first to master this area will be the ones to go forward big time. No one is moving there yet holding on to what they know, but while everyone is still searching for a space on the PC , the big boys (Apple, Google) are going after the 4" screen.

    I tried Ad-Mob about a year ago. It was the quickest way to burn money on the planet!

    I paid per click like you do with Adwords, and the idiots who received these messages on their phones just clicked like mad!

    Looking at the stats at Ad-mob for my account I found so many with the same phone number just clicking away costing me money.

    Never use them again!
