Frank Kern's 3 day 50% off special...

Hi there,

A couple of months back, Frank Kern offered his "3 day - 50% off special" tactic as free content and as part of the pre-launch of his last product (he also offered the GoodKarma software in another video for the same promotion.)

I saved the email templates and instructions for the 3 day special "somewhere" in my hard drive and now the file seems to have been swallowed by a black hole. I'm going crazy and can't find the file. I'm wondering if somebody saved it and would be willing to share it with me.

I'd truly appreciate it
Tammy

Sorry but I have to agree with Yesmate on this one.
I've never bought any of his stuff, but I know how much he charges as a coach or consultant (whatever you want to call it)... Not a lot of stupid people have that kind of money. Some do, don't get me wrong... All of the free information I've gotten from him has been helpful. Oh well, to each their own :-)

OOPS! I get it... many don't like Kern; after all he charges an arm and a leg for his stuff!
However, I'd been wanting to get a self development product -for personal use- but at $97 it was beyond my budget. When the publisher of the product implemented Frank's little technique, I jumped at the opportunity to buy it for half off. I assume many people would do the same, especially since they've been on my list and know the usual price of my product. It's difficult to reject a 50% discount when you truly want something, don't you think?

So, yes... Frank is making millions off of newbies that don't know any better, but I must admit he's got a handful of marketing tricks that are effective... hope somebody can help me in regard to my initial post.

          Thanks for the feedback, though!

Correct me if I am off-base.

But why do you need what Mr. Kern offered in his 3 day 50% tactic? As far as I recall it basically stated that you tell people that you are offering 50% off of your normal price...for 3 whole days.

Is that not the entire gist of it?

Yes, that is the idea, but at the end, it is the copy what makes all the difference.
Of course I can come up with something similar, but why recreate the wheel when it's been already invented?

I believe what you're talking about is similar to the 4 day cash machine
strategy he shared in the Mass Control 2.0 prelaunch.

The idea is to give 50% off+5 bonuses for a limited time period (4 days).

    The copy is always similar:

Drive it home that you're giving it away as an act of good will
and you can't do it for any longer than 3-4 days.

The only thing that changes in the email sequence is the subject line
and a short reminder in the beginning of the email. The rest is copied over
    and over again.

Thanks, Igor. Yes, that is exactly what I was talking about and have the general idea; however, as they say, it is the copy what matters, which is why I'm trying to find out if somebody here has it. As you say, just the subject line changes, BUT it is that piece of information what makes people open the email vs hitting delete.

I totally agree Igor. Frank and his cousin Trey Smith not only rehash others material but they rehash all of their own stuff as well. Not saying it is "bad" content but you can find what he is selling for much cheaper or free on places like this and other forums.

The year before he was telling people to raise their prices. Gee, that's a pretty good marketing tactic, sell at 50% off.

If you're ready to bring out version 2.0, or you've moved on to different product or service it's probably a good tactic. But how do you ever go back up for the long term.

And what about the buyers at 100% that you provided a 3 year guarantee of satisfaction? Think they might get a little miffed over this tactic?

If you've every noticed, all these guys eventually give away their $2000 products about 2 years after they launch. Usually in preparation or bribe to listen to the latest pitch.

There are wolves and there are sheep. That's the nature of this business.

Funny but I asked exactly that question, back then... Wouldn't the people who paid full price get upset? Frank said that for some odd reason people don't get upset, and compared this to sale items you may find, let's say, at WalMart that you had preciously paid more for. We've all have had that happen; makes sense.

In my case, my product has been revamped, so I believe the 4 day sale -going back to my previous price just for a few days, would work.

As to the guarantee... the average guarantee for digital products is 60 to 90 days, and that shouldn't be affected.

    Hi Tammy,

I'd say you've already got the "headline" part of writing copy hammered down. 192 views on your thread here, and a number of responses (so not only does it work, it converts, lol).

I've got a copy of Frank's 4-day cash machine here somewhere. Got it when you did, when he was launching list control. PM me your email address.
