Main Reasons Why Online Newbies Fail Easily

Hey, am gonna be harsh here!
One reason is that most marketers make doing online business seem very easy & simple.
So I want to ask. Why do they lie just to make someone buy what ever there are offering?

Second reason is that these Guys do not have something apart from their powerful sales letter. So in disguise what there selling is "Sales Letter".

Third reason is the fact that the "Good Marketers" over load the newbie with too many resource materials that take eternity to access. Some of the materials are invalid

Please I want to add that it is better to tell these newbies right from the first time that internet marketing is not for the small boys so that those not ready will not waste their money buying products & service that can't solve their immediate problems. Please let us help these up coming online newbies to save small dough & get value for their money.

they fail because they dont capture the email adresses of their visitors...

they fail because they dont know how to get enough targeted traffic to their website..

they fail because they read a lot but don't act...

    and so on...

I wasn't even sure I was going to bother replying to this thread, considering that these types of threads pop up at least twice a week from what I have seen.

There are several factors that can lead to a "newbie" not succeeding in their online business.

      1. They have no actually business model to work off of, and are just flailing around in the dark hoping to hit something.

      2. They look for the next big shiny button that is going to solve all of their problems, with, well, a push of a button. ( meaning they don't want to put to the work effort into it to get anything done )

      3. They know how much work is involved, and are looking at it all at once, and then get discouraged. So instead of just taking it 1 step at a time, they try to work it all at once, get burnt out, and give up.

      4. They never truly finish anything they start; they are jumping from project to project probably very close to getting something out of it before they see the next big thing that is supposed to make them millions. They should just follow through with what they are doing so they can finally see some results. Doing anything halfway is just like doing nothing at all.

I am sure that I could go on and on about why newbies fail, however the list can be pretty much endless. We don't know all the circumstances behind any given person, there could be a mental or spiritual block that is preventing them from moving forward, maybe even their friends and family telling them to stop chasing a pipe dream.

There is just so much that goes on in a persons life above and beyond what the usual reasons for failure are, that we can't really bundle them all into the same category of "newbie failure".

Jeff, care to elaborate? Particularly on the spiritual point?

My first post here and I am still working on getting my online business plans in place I guess I am newbie.

But I am not a newbie to starting businesses. It should be noted that, based on widely accepted numbers, around 60% of small businesses never show a profit and of that group half of them lose money. Another long term study(10 years) showed that 64.2% of startups fail. The reasons are too numerous to pigeon hole but the reality is it almost always comes down to lack of financing and lack of expertise or experience in the market selected. It is extremely hard to start a new business on a shoe string. That lack of funding makes it very hard to hire people. It makes it very hard to market in the best places. It means you have to do a lot of things yourself that those who are already further along pass off to employees(or outsource) while they continue to grow their businesses. Combine that with a lack of expertise and you have the makings of a fail.

So how does this relate to newbies online? Well it's pretty obvious. Most are here on a shoe string. And few really know what's going on. Now on top of that their limited funds often get squandered on crap from so called experts when they try to leverage what money they have into picking up some promised expertise. It's a double whammy. No expertise gained and now less money.

Now that doesn't mean you can't succeed but it takes a lot of time and a certain personality to some degree. For instance I have been lurking here for months. I am working on a two prong approach that will allow me to do both offline consulting and online money making. I have used the scraps I have picked up here for free to get my web design knowledge into this decade, brush up on the latest SEO trends and leverage the existing skill set I have to make it work. But this would be hard for many people to do for so many different reasons it's silly to try to list them. Doesn't mean they are "concentrating on failure" or "afraid of success". That's just so much psycho babble. What it does mean is kind of harsh but it's true. Everyone can't do this. There is no, not one, business sector that is right for everyone. You can't just think it and be it. That's more psycho babble to sell books.

There is no shame in failure. I have failed many times. Makes the success that much sweeter. I did door to door. I closed at a nice rate for that sector. But it was because I could blow off the slammed door I just left. But not everyone has the luxury of sustaining multiple failures. They have financial and personal commitments that are priorities that they can't get away from and it limits how much failure they can withstand. Maybe they just don't have that thing that makes them keep taking rejection and slogging on. I can guarantee they are not alone in that lack. Seen a lot of it.

So maybe in our rush to judge failure and the person behind it so harshly we should really stand back and remember that in the end a lot of people are going to fail at this. Even people that work real hard and try to do everything right. Like in every other sector. And it won't have anything to do with most of the reasons that get posted in these threads.

The fault is the big "gurus" telling people they will be rich over night and make $500,000 on autopilot in a couple of weeks. Or they can reach #1 on Google in 1 week with their method. That is the major problem.

And when new affiliate marketers don't realize that promise, with little effort I might add, they give up frustrated and quit.

Affiliate marketing is NOT easy from the start. Once you get the foundation of your online business in place and a method working, THEN it will become easier for you.
But just like any other job, you have to take ACTION, work hard at it, focus, and have perseverance.

BAH! NO! Keep it away!! NO! NO! NOOOO!!!!!

I think the number one reason why newbies fail, and this is my personal experience only, is that they keep looking for the easier method.... They learn one, think to themselves there has to be an easier way and look to learning the next method... and the next method... all action produces a result of some sort.. could be financial, could be knowledge, could be both... regardless action is key!

Well... I think persistance is the most important key to be successful online.
The main reason why a lot of people fail when they start online marketing is because they don't accept failures.
We learn because we fail. The most successful people in the world fail...
Success comes after failure... and a lot of people need to understand that.

Many think it is going to happen overnight. It doesn't and so they just give up after a month or 2. Since when has any successful business taken 2 months to be a success?

The answer is in your question.

Marketers who are targeting newbies do it for one of two reasons.

    1. We really, honestly, want to help newbies.

    2. Newbies are stupid, and will buy any damn thing.

If you are doing it because you really want to help newbies, the first thing you have to say is "this will take time, effort, and dedication before you can make it work."

If you are doing it because newbies are stupid, you can say "EVERYTHING IS EASY AND ANY IDIOT CAN DO IT OVERNIGHT LOOK HOW FAST I CAN DO THIS OMFG IT'S ALMOST AS SIMPLE AS YOU."

So those of us who really want to help newbies, who are actually selling an inexpensive product that really works and will really get those newbies learning the basic skills they need to succeed in this business... well, we have to compete with that.

"Work hard for a long time to earn a couple hundred a month" might be reality, but it just plain does not compare to "MAKE MONEY IN YOUR SLEEP BY PRETENDING TO BE A TEENAGE GIRL."

For me the only ones I am seriously interested in are the ones that seem realistic. Oh sure I love to read the pie in the sky ones, they are entertaining. But the only ones that have tempted me are the ones I find believable. Now I have not bought any WSOs yet as my first purchase here will be the War Room membership. But I know I will at some point and I know my first one won't be a "make 10K in 3 days" deal.

So keep up the good fight, some of us really do appreciate it.

Some newbies think that because a lot of IMers are successful and are earning a lot mean that it's just that easy. Well it's not. It needs a lot of hardwork and it's got lots of ups & downs. They should also realize that it takes time to get where other IMers are.

To many "To Good To be True" offer that send to the newbies, and most newbies just throw it away once they purchase it without taking an action to really build their online business. It just take three simple action, Read , Learn And Do action.

    Just my 2 cents

Also, some internet marketers fail because once they've already got their FIRST EVER gold mine in earning online, they easily get overwhelmed that they don't even realize how'd they get it in an instant. Everything in internet marketing industry should be tracked for you to be able to convert more and more and be better in targeting your niche with your audience.

Without tracking, you're just letting bigger opportunities to go and pass.

yes ... a lot of sales letters lie to you and you will not get the results no matter how hard you try. Do yourself a favor and don't believe everything you read. There are no easy methods for making money online.

Generally, it takes work and commitment and skills. Browse around for free and get info or join the War Room for a one time price of $37 and read the material in there.

If it sounds too good to be true, it's probably not true.

Its really like this..If someone is at the bottom just starting and they really cannot determine that there is actually a hell of alot of work here even to make .50 cents then they should not be into im in the first place.
The other thing is the food chain...Are we gonna go out into the jungle and warn the cute little monkey that there are tigers right around the corner..If we did there would be no wildlife left not even cute little monkeys....

Thats as easy as it can get to understand

I honestly thank you all for having added more light it this thread
But to make this matter of great benefit: is there no way we can control the kind of info these guys write in their sales letter? I must confess, their sales letters are so powerful such that even gurus themselves are among the victims.

I have personally observed that info marketing business is not regulated by any government in any country so don’t you think this could be the main reason why a lot of bad guys came in to spoil this lucrative venture for the genuine ones like you & I

You must agree with me that if these newbies continue to fail the Gurus will run out of biz sooner or later.

I came in to this biz because I see it as a way to help those in my world achieve financial freedom & live the life style of their dreams. Truly, if any bad guy spoils this biz God & even YOU & I will not be happy for such one better.

Let stop them before they stoop us. Yes, without the newbies there is no biz for us.

Negative. For every newbie that fails to take action and gives up, there are 1000's more people searching for the information they just tossed as rubbish... thats why information marketing and e-products are such a profitable and lucrative business.

        Hi,
The main reason that businesses fail is lack of planning. If you don't have a sound business plan and stick to it you will fail.
Also as somebody has already said newbies are looking for that magic button that will make them overnight millionaires. It doesn't exist never has never will.
They will always be prospects never marketers.
