Tried Submitting to upload.com for Passive List Building???

Have you tried submitting your free product to upload.com for passive list building? I got a software from Dan Thompson called "Boomerang List Builder" for free as part of Socrate's bonus when I purchased a product from him before. It works like this, you lock your product, say, an ebook or software that you want to give away for free, then submit it to upload.com. upload.com has 30+ million unique users according to them, so when you submit your product like "how to make money online using a PLR content", it also shows on the SE's. When people clicks on your product and wants to download the report, they will be taken on this page: How to Make Money Online Using PLR - Free software downloads and software reviews - CNET Download.com.
Now, after clicking on the download link, there's a pop-up that requires you to enter the unlock code, since you don't know the unlock code yet, you will be taken to this page to get the unlock code. Product Unlocking. Please note that it's my own page that I set up. Then the email on the autoresponder will provide the unlock code for you. Once you entered the unlock code, you will be able to access the product as normal. The good thing is, it works for you passively and adds subscribers automatically. But the problem is, how come I'm showing the number of downloads on my product but it's not showing them in my aweber account? The people who downloaded my product should be in my list since they are required to enter their name and email address to get the unlock code. Anyone tried this as well?
