For a site specific vacation site, I'd vote for AdWords as the best way to advertise.

Have you ever seen the Escape Artist? It's mostly American expats and world travelers there. There are quite a few possibilities...classifieds, ebooks, articles, etc. I think you'd like the site and have luck there.

        1) Use Blog(s) about Travel
        2) Write / Submit Articles about Travel
        3) Post in Travel related Forums, Groups, other Blogs, etc.
        4) Create Squidoo Lenses @ Travel related topics
        5) Buy Ads and/or Links on other non-competing Travel related sites
        6) PPC Ads
        Etc. Etc.

I hope this helps and Have a Great Day!
